George W. Coleman and Adeline Nelson married on December 16, 1868 in Allen County, Indiana.
In 1870 Allen County, Indiana, George Coleman is 22, Adeline 21, James six months.
George W. Coleman is a trapper in 1900 Weld County, Colorado, born March 1852 in Indiana, widowed. He's living with son James Coleman Nov 1869 in Iowa, with wife rachel 27 and three kids.
George was killed in British Columbia in 1905,
and his son James was to go up to try to get the body.

"George W., the son of J "Edwin" and Percilla (Doner/Dorin) Coleman, was born in March 1848 in Indiana. George's father, age 25, was born in Jefferson County, New York, and had enlisted in the Mexican War, 2 Aug 1847 at Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. George's mother was about 15 years old,and a French-Canadian."

George married Adeline Nelson at Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana on 16 December 1868. Adeline was the daughter of James & Sarah Nelson of Maumer, Allen Co., IN. Adeline, age 2, had a sister Mary, age 4 in the 1850 US Census. George and Adeline were the parents of 4 known children:
1. James Edwin, b. 20 Nov 1869, IA, d. 1 Dec 1946, LA,CA;
2. Alice Martha Coleman Forrester of Greeley, Weld Co., CO, 1892-1911; 6 August 1894, married Robert Forrester 6 Aug 1894 at Wiota, Cass County, Iowa;
3. "Anna" Georgiana Bertha Coleman McDonald, b. abt 1874, IN, d. LA, CA, married 23 Feb 1898, Brayton, IA to Daley Lee McDonald.
4. Florence R., 1 June 1876-16 May 1877, COD Consumption, buried Michigan.
Also listed with the family in the 1870 Census was William Faylor (Coleman?), age 6, b. IN--no further information.
Adeline, abt 30, died of Consumption 1 April 1877 and is thought to have been buried in Michigan. Their daughter, Florence R. Coleman, 11 mos 15 days old, died six weeks after her mother, 16 May 1877, also of consumption.

"At the death of George's father, J.Edwin on 2 March 1909, the obituary that ran in "The Journal", Exira, Audubon County, Iowa, stated that his son, George had been killed in Canada about a year prior, making George's death or their notification of his death, the early part of 1908. George made his living as a trapper, according to the 1900 census.
George's children--James E. Coleman was living at Greeley, Colorado; Alice Coleman Forrester was living at Loveland, Colorado; and "Anna" Georgiana Bertha Coleman McDonald, was taking care of her grandparents-the J. Edwin Colemans, near Mitchell, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska.

In 1900 Knox County, Illinois, George W. Coleman
is a farm laborer, born May 1866, married 13 years to Ella M. 33,
with Charles 12 and Ethel 6, all four born in Illinois.
October 1912 Wray, Colorado "Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Dillon
of Lyonville (Probably Lynnville, Jasper County), Iowa, and
Mr. and Mrs. George W. Coleman of Galesburg, Illinois,
spent the day yesterday in Wray with Mrs. Frank Beach. They were on their way west."
Frank S. Beach, 24, born in Sullivan County, New York to Stephen Beach and Alice C. Lees, married Eliza Morey on March 8, 1883 in Decatur County, Iowa.
She was 20, born in Decatur County to David B. Morey and Deborah A. Rockwell.
Eliza is buried in Eckley 1864-1942 # 52879523.
Francis Sidney Beach 1859-1950 is buried in Eckley # 52879525.
Ella 1867-1935 and George W. 1866-1943 are buried in Knox County.
