Willard C. Britton

Willard cash-claimed a quarter in 33, 5N 47W in 1890,

Willard Clarke Britton, born about 1860 in Washington County, Ohio, living in Saunders County Nebraska in 1880 with in-laws

This Willard married Gertrude B. Fisher May 22, 1890 in Red Oak, Montgomery County Iowa, and died 1900.

Gertrude had married Melville T. Roberts in 1866, lived at Red oak in 1880,

Daughter Minnie E. born Oct 28, 1891 in Nebraska, married George William Hitch in 1913 in Seward County, Nebraska, and lived in Nebraska all her life.

Daughter Gladys M. was born October 12, 1895 in Nebraska, married Benjamin Robert Hitch in 1915, and died in 1985 -

There were Britton's far south of Akron, but one guess for this one is Willard C BriNton, who was arming in Gage County, Nebraska, and could have gone to Yuma County long enough to establish his claim

In 1880 Gage County Willard is 32, Mary L. 35, and they have James T. 6 and George L. 4.

In 1900 Gage they have J.F. 26., W.A. 19, Nellie L., and Walter T.Wm. Britton, of Trenton, Nebraska was a Yuma visitor Tuesday, the guest of his niece, Mrs. .C.M. Byrd.

Willard M. Brinton September 30, 1847 - May 13, 1934 and Mary Lavina Crain Brinton September 1, 1854 - January 15, 1926 are buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Cass County, Nebraska.
