Oliver cash-claimed a quarter in section 19, 5N 48W in 1891.
He might be the Oliver Albert in 1880 Macon County,
Illinois, 7, with Martin 41, farming, and Eldroado 35. Florence is 13, ruth 11, William 9, Oliver 7, Emma 5, Edward 4, and Ida 1.
In 1900 he's a farm laborer in Macon County. born May 1873 in Illinois, working
for William Binkley 40 (brother of his future brother-in-law Walter Binkley who married Rosa Smee.) Martha Daniels is 38, divorced, also working for William.
In 1910 Oliver Macon County, Oliver is farming, 37, with Clara 32 and Martha 4.
Oliver Otis Albert 1872-1954 is buried in Macon County, # 26937433, with Clara 1878-1961.
"Oliver is the son of Martin and Eldorado (Norman) Albert. He married Clara Viola Smee. They had a daughter, Martha (Herron) and a son, Raymond Albert, who died in infancy. He worked at Muellers, in Decatur, IL, till an explosion, in which he lost an eye. He then began working on Sam Crossman's farm as a hired man. They helped him to get started in farming on the Powers farm. Then he moved to the John and Ella Schroll farm and was there until he retired in 1945."
"Mrs. Clara Viola Albert, 83, of Warrensburg,
died at 1:35 p.m. yesterday, October 27, 1961, at the home of her daughter Mrs. John Herron, Warrensburg.
She lived most of her life in the Warrensburg area. She attended the Warrensburg Methodist Church.
Mrs. Albert was born in Three Oaks, MI., April 7, 1878, a daughter of Jacob and Martha Jones Smee. She was married to Oliver Otis Albert. He died July 10, 1954.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. John (Martha) Herron, of Warrensburg. One son, Raymond Albert, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg. Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home."
