In 1900 Jasper County, Missouri  George D. WOOD born July 1857 in Illinois, has been married 22 years to Mary E. Wood, Feb 1861 Maryland -six kids, all living. Tice C. Aug 1881 Kansas, Earl G April 1884 Missouri, Leura M. March 1887 Kansas, Georgia L. Jan 1890 Nebraska, and Mary E. May 1893 Kansas.

In 1900 Smith County, Kansas John J. and Alice Woods have a bunch of kids, including Albert C. 15 and Paul seven months (Paul was born in Illinois...)

In 1895 Smith County, Kansas, Bitha Dannels is 8, with D.B. 45 and Becca 35. Johnathan is 79, born in Ohio. William 17, Louise 15, Lizbeth 13, Margaret 11, Birtha 8, Cortna 6, David 4, and Rasia 1 were all born in Kansas.

In 1910 David 60 and Benie 54 are in Matagorda County, Texas, with David 19, Rose 17, Anna 15, Harvey 12, and William Olive 9.

David Bowen Dannels 1849-1917 is buried in Smith County # 39045250

David Bowen Dannels was born in Hancock county, Ohio, July 14, 1849, and moved the same year with his parents to Benton county, Ia., where he was reared. He came to Kansas in 1865, at the age of 16 years, and spent the next seven years in the camps and missions of the new state. Returning to Iowa in 1871, he was married to Becca A. Ketterman, April 25, 1872, and to this union were born twelve children. Two daughters have preceded him in death.
...They came to Smith county in 1876 and settled on a homestead in German township, where he resided until 1909, when he moved his family to Matagorda county, Texas. After a year of failing health he was taken to his bed in September, 1916, with a serious heart trouble and other ailments, and died February 10, 1917, aged 67 years, 6 months and 26 days. The noble wife who nursed him constantly during his long illness is now confined to her bed at home and unable to make the journey. Besided his wife, he leaves 10 children, 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild and one brother and a host of friends to mourn his death. The surviving children are Mrs. Etta Billings, Mrs. Margaret Nelson, Mrs. Rose Hayes, and J.C. of Smith county; Mrs. Bitha Woods, Yuma, Colo.; L.V., Alva, Okla.; and W.D., Mrs. Anna White, D.E. and Harvey of Palacios, Texas.
...Besides their own large family, they had cared for in their home, his parents and her grandmother. They had raised from infancy a nephew, Henry Dannels and a grandson, W. Cline. The latter is with his grandmother in Texas.

Becca is also buried there 1857-1947 # 39045213
"Four daughters preceded her in death. Nancy died April 20, 1876 in Iowa, Elizabeth Cline passed away Oct. 30, 1901, Anna E. White deceased May 23, 1920, and Etta Billings who died August 30, 1947.
The surviving children are William D. of Blessings, Texas, Lewis V. of Siloam Springs, Ark., Courtney J. of Savanna, Illinois, David E. of Concordia, Kans., Harvey H. of Franklin, Margaret A. Nelson of Reamsville, Kansas, Bitha Woods of Springfield, Ore., Rose Hays of Norton, Kans."

In 1910 Albert C., 26 and Bitha M. 23 are in Cheyenne County, Kansas, with Lena A. 2 and brother Paul 12.

Albert proved up a quarter in section 12, 2S. 45W in 1916.

Albert Chatman Woods registered in Yuma County, saying he was born December 19, 1885.

In 1920 Yuma, on north Main Street, he's 35, with Bitha M. 33, born in Kansas. Lina A. 12, Kansas, Neva M. 9, Kansas, Albert C. 4 and Lulu B. 2, both Colorado.



Bitha's sister Annie S. (Dannels) White is also in Yuma County in 1920, 24, married to John C. White 27, Arhtur D. 3 born in Texas, and Harvey P. 1 in Colorado.
John C. White and Anna Stella Dannels married on Dec 26, 1915 in Matagorda County, Texas.
Anna died in Yuma County on May 2, 1920, and is buried in Smith County # 39065478.

Albert is a laborer in 1930 Wray, 46, with Bitha M. 43, Albert C. 14, Lula B. 12, Anna R. 9, Lola E. 6, Ray E. 4, and Mark R. 1.

Bitha copyrighted a a song "Isabelle" waltz, with words and melody on January 20, 1836, living in Cedar, Kansas. It was un, and another song in 1939.


In 1940 they're in Lane County, Oregon, Albert a tunnel worker for the W.P. A, 56, Bitha M. 53, Albert Jr. 24, Anna R 19, and Lola E. 17 doing seasonal work. Roy R. 14 and Mark R. 11. All were in Smith County, Kansas in 1935.

Mark R. Woods, per one tree, born May 26, 1928 in Frontier County, Nebraska, died November 10, 2005 in Seguin, Texas.
"Our little angel Faith Leoneah Yonts went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 2, 2016. Faith was the light of everyone’s life, and was born on February 25, 2015 in Seguin and is survived by her parents; Mark and Beth Yonts, brother, David; sisters; Shyan, Jaden and Jolie, paternal grandfather, Mark Woods, maternal grandparents; Terri McCalub and Johnny Soto; uncles, Joshua Woods, Shawn Reyes, Greg Thompson , Adam Rowell and Cliff Dudley; aunts, Jennifer Melvin, Arielle McCalub and Ronda Dudley. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 2:00pm at Goetz Funeral Home. All services will conclude at the funeral home."

"The graveside service will be June 16 for Albert Coachman Woods of Springfield, who died June 10 of age-related causes. He was 86.
Woods was born Nov. 11, 1915, in Yuma, Colo., to Albert Woods Sr. and Bitha Daniles Woods.
He served in the Army during World War II. He married Geneva Dunbar in Springfield In 1953.
He married Mildred Fink in Reno, Nev., in 1982. She died in 2002.
Woods moved to Springfield in 1936. He owned several service stations in Oregon.
His interests included gardening, fishing and woodworking. He also enjoyed building projects.
Survivors include two daughters, Geneva Keith and Brenda Faubion, both of Eugene; a brother, Mark of Texas; four sisters, Ann Woods and Lola Houser, both of Springfield, Neva Lawson of Bend, and Lula Milton of Topeka, Kan.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Sunday's service will be at 2 p.m. at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene. Rest-Haven Memorial Park & Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. "

Neva May Lawson of Bend died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 of natural causes. She was 94.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Bend. An interment will be held at the Pilot Butte Cemetery in Bend.
Mrs. Lawson was born May 29, 1910, in Bird City, Kan., to Albert and Bitha (Dannels) Woods. She married Lawrence Lawson on July 12, 1926, in Goodland, Kan.
Mrs. Lawson was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress for JC Penney. She was a member of the Light&Life Church in Bend. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Del of Bend and Bob of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; a brother, Mark Woods of Seguin, Texas; three sisters, Lola Houser and Ann Woods, both of Springfield and Lula Minton of Topeka, Kan.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, a sister, a grandson and a stepgrandson.

"Lula Blanche Woods Melton, 88, of Topeka passed away Feb. 20, 2006 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born January 28, 1918 in Yuma, Colorado the daughter of Albert and Bitha (Daniels) Woods. They moved to Cedar, KS, when she was a child. She graduated from Smith Center Schools in 1933. She then moved to Naponee, NE. She married Hobart Melton on July 11, 1934 at Alma, NE. To this union one child Darlene was born May 12, 1935. She and Hobart farmed for many years in Nebraska. She was musically inclined and played the piano and taught Sunday School classes many years at Naponee Wesleyan Church. She joined the Wesleyan Church in 1934 until moving to Topeka. She and a close friend took their talents to shut-ins. Lula played the guitar and piano and Blanche Rust played the violin. They where honored for their dedication to God. Hobart and Lula farmed until 1955 at which time they moved to Topeka. Lula worked for P.M. Hersh (Pozez), Topeka Schools, Nightingales as head alteration lady there. She served on the board of directors at Hollydale Nursing Home with Dr. Nystrom. Lula joined North Topeka Wesleyan Church for several years. Mrs. Melton was also a member of Lakeview Church of the Nazarene in Topeka. She had been residing at Rolling Hills Health Center before going to Midland Hospice House. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Survivors include, Darlene Lauber and her husband Kenneth of Topeka; Ken Lauber, Jr. and his wife Carrie and Steve Lauber; one great-grandson, Jared Lauber and three step great-grandchildren, Stephen, Isiah and Kayla; one great-great granddaughter, Alexis Mariah Lauber; two sisters, Anna Woods, Lola Houser of Springfield, OR; Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, Feb. 27 at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka."

1916 Arickaree section of the Akron newspaper - "Mrs. John Vibber is entertaining a 'sore throat germ' this week."

In 1920 John 42 and Jennie B. 31 Vibber are on East Valley Street in Yuma, with Nelson 15, Kansas - John is a feed dealer.

Nelson married Hilda Mahoney May 6, 1929.

They're in Loveland in 1930, and Nelson is married to Hilda E., 18., born in Iowa.  John and Nelson are farm laborers.

In 1940 they're in Abarr, Yuma County, saying they were in Kit Carson in 1935.  Frank E and Clara 29, and 25 Vibber are with them, saying they were in Smith County Kansas in 1935.  This must be a nephew, Frank. B's son who was with Frank B. in Smith County in 1920.
