Salem Illinois city records show a AW Heskett buried in Lot 59, Sec D, Space 4 in 1925. The lot was originally purchased by Effie Ladien. East ½ of lot sold by OJ McMackin to Mrs. Geo Smith of Chicago.
A Sarah Slevin is in Grant County, Indiana, 62, single with nephew Paul W. Slevin 23 - but this could be another.

Nellie has married Andrew Johnson, and they're in Oliver County in 1920 - Roy and Ray with them. In 1930 they're still in Oliver County, with Phyllis S. 10. And in 1940 Oliver County, too.
| My gr. grandfather was Harry Lea Heskett who lived in Oliver Co.
while growing up. He managed a pool hall in 1917 in precinct 7, Center
as stated on his WW1 draft registration. I know he was also an operator
of a ferry at some point and was known for bootlegging and getting into
trouble. In 1917 he had a wife and child. In the 1910 census he was
living in township 143 with his parents Ambrose and Sarah Heskett. His
siblings were Fila, Lina, Larry, William, Clarence, and Harold. I know
one of the sisters was a teacher on a nearby reservation. Any
information about the Hesketts listed here would be appreciated !

Heskett and Sarah Slevin, 1997: Lina had beautiful red hair. She and
Cole lived in Oliver County, North Dakota and by 1949, Molalla,
Oregon. They were both musical: Lina played the guitar and Cole
played the violin. They had no children of their own, but from time
to time her nephew, Harry Arnold Heskett, a son of her brother,
Harry Lee Heskett, lived with them on their farm near Hazen, North
Dakota. After Harry returned to live with his mother, Lina Jane and
Cole adopted a little girl named Beverly.

With them is Daisy July 1883 Illinois, Lavile E. Oct 1886 Nebraska, William A May 1889 Nebraska, Bejamin (sic) H. Oct 1892 Arkansas, Russell Lee June 1895 Nebraska, and Willa Grace Aug 1898, Nebraska.
John W. Heskett, 22, born in Illinois, is in the Philippines in 1900, an Army private. In 1916 J. Walter is in Portland, an actor, married to Helen A., a laundry worker.
John registered for WWII in Garibaldi, Oregon, with a contact as Mrs. Helen A. Ryan Heskett or Garibaldi.
John W. Heskett died Nov 23, 1943 in Portland.
Sarah -1861-March 14, 1905 is buried in Wyuka, too, as are sons Russel and Benjamin.
Thomas is a gardener in a private residence in 1910 Lancaster County, Nebraska, widowed. William 20 is a cook, Benjamin does odd jobs, Russell is a farmer. Grace I. is 11, Jesse 8, and Myrtle 5.
Thomas is in Seward County, Nebraska in 1920 - 75 with Theodore and Myrtle.
