John M. Gambill, Brownsville

In Clay County, Missouri, John M. Gambell married Dorinda Ellen Morris April 14, 1872.

In 1880 John "Gamble", 30, born in North Carolina, is farming in Gentry County, Missouri, with Ellen, 25, born in Illinois.  They have Nancy J.7, William H. 4, and Robert 2.

Robert's death record said his mother's maiden name was Morris.

John cash-claimed a quarter in 6, 2S 47W in 1892

In 1900 Canon City John ?  Gambell is widowed, born May 1849 in Virginia.  William H. Jan 1876, Missouri and Robert L. May 1877 Missouri are with him.  All three are teamsters.

In 1900 and 1910 at the state hospital in Pueblo is Ellen Gambill,  born in Tennessee about 1850, married.

Robert L. Gambill married Elberta Stone Jun 25, 1901.

W.H. Gambill married Abbie Williams Sep 25, 1901.

In 1910 John, 57,  is a hotel clerk in Los Angeles - the census isn't real clear, but he might be with a half-brother Samuel Jones 28

There's a FindAGrave record of Ellen Gambill in Mountain View Cemetery, Pueblo - unknown birth, death December 6, 1914.

And a John M. Gambell, unknown birth, dying January 23, 1920 at age 68, in Mountain View. 101304599

John is in Block K, lot 47, Ellen in Block K, lot 104.

In 1920 Pueblo County, Colorado, John  is living with William H. 43, a farmer,  and Abbigal 32.

William 1876-1964 and Abbigail 1884-1964 are buried in Brookside Cemetery, Rye, Colorado 90606177

Robert went to Seattle, then California - Robert Lee Gambill 1877-1941 is buried in Fairhaven Memorial, Orange County.  58968993
