Simeon Confer, Brownsville
In 1880 Hocking County, Ohio Simeon, 19 is with Solomon 58 and Susan A. 51 Confer. Siblings are Nathan 15, Caroline 17, Warren 10, and Addie 7.
In 1880 Wells County Indiana Simeon, 29, is working on the J. Andrew Glass farm.
1889 a letter from John F. Davis of Hoyt, Kansas "Simeon Confer is working for C.C. Leonard on the quarter south of us. Nathan Confer is working in the Sante (sic) Fe Railroad shops at Topeka. His wife is on a visit to friends in Old Hocking."
October 3, 1894 Bluffton Chronicle. "Simeon Confer, who for several years past has been a resident of Kansas, came out one day this week to see his brother Warren, of Bethel. He left this week for Hocking county, Ohio, his former home. After a visit here, he will return to the state of his choice, and take up his accustomed line of work."
In 1895 Jackson County Kansas, Simeon is 42, a laborer.
He's back in Fairfield County, Ohio in 1900, a hired hand for Edward Alspaugh.
1903 Fort Wayne "Mr. Simeon Confer, of Topeka, Kansas, is visiting his brother, Warren Confer."
Simeon proved up 320 acres in 25 and 26, 2S 47W in 1916 - the same shape and next to Lena B. Watts Stephens. His witnesses were Sterman H. Lawver, Creed H. Perry, Charles W. Foot, and Thomas H. Hooper, all of Happyville.
Fort Wayne News - August 2, 1915 Simeon Confer, at 12:30 p. m. at the home of his brother, Warren Confer, after a long struggle against Bright's disease The deceased was born April 14, 1851, in wnwkinsville O., son of Solomon and Kbcth Mathias Confer. He came to Ossian more than thirty years ago, but in recent years went to Colorado. On July 1, he became very ill, and was brought back to Ossian. Mr. Confer was a member of the I. O. U. F. He is survived by two brothers- Warren Confer, of Ossian, and Mason Confer of Topeka, Kans.-and by a half brother-Theodore Confer living near the Mien county line--and also by a sister- Mrs. Susan Johnson, of Circleville O The funeral was held Sunday- at 2 p m. from the home of Warren Confer, services conducted by Rev, A Johnson, of Zanesville. There's a Simeon Confer 1851-1915 buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Wells County, Indiana, on the same stone as Solomon 1812-1894 and Nathan 1855-1932.

He bequeathed II In hi. brother Nathan, SS to a sister Susan Johnson to his brother Theodore and the balance of the estate to Warren Confer, brother who provided a home for him during a long inner, with Bright's disease The bulk of the estate is a farm of 320 acre, in Colorado"
