Jens, Seni, and "Foh" arrived in New York April 11, 1892 from Hamburg, aboard the Rhaetia.

In 1900 Idalia precinct Jens "Larsen"  born Nov 1853 and Sina Sept 1859, with Anna Feb 1881 - all three born in Denmark, with Helga May 1885, Dora Mar 1887, Alina Feb 1891, and Edwin March 1897 - these four in Nebraska, with Vigo Dec 1899, Colorado.

In 1909 Jens Larsen "of Tuttle"  was a witness for Sarah A. Brothers' claim for land in section 8, 5S 46W.

Jens proved up on a quarter in 4, 5S 46W in 1910, witnesses Jacob Madsen, James O. Culpitts, David W. Zimmerman, and Harry Jackson.  He listed Kirk as his mailing address.

In 1910 Kirk precinct Jens and Sine have Edwin 12, Viggo 10, and granddaughter Emma 7.

In 1920 Kit Carson County, Jens is 66, Signe 60, Viggo 20, and granddaughter Emma Price 17.

In 1930 Kit Carson County Jens W. Larsen is 76, Signe K. 70.




May 1932 Wray, Colorado " Mrs. Earl Palmer and daughter of Fairbury, Neb., Mrs. Roscoe Yarnell and daughter, Mrs. Jens Larsen and Jim Webb of Burlington, Colo., visited at the H. J. Christiansen home in Wray last Sunday."

December 28, 1939 Wray, Colorado "Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Larsen of Burlington celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at their home in Burlington, Sunday, Dec. 10. Their daughter, Mrs. R. C. Yarnell, served a fried chicken dinner. Covers were laid for the honored guests and for two of their daughters Mrs. Anna Price of Denver and Mrs. Yarnell, and for two granddaughters and for Mr. Yarnell. Mr. and Mrs. Larsen were married 60 years ago in Copenhagen, Denmark and about two years later they came to America and settled in Nebraska. Later they homesteaded in Colorado. They are loved and respected by a large circle of friends. Mrs. Larsen is the only sister of our fellow townsman, Hans Christiansen."

June 1963 "Mrs. Anna Price and three daughters and a grandson of Denver called on the William Doddridge* on Friday. Mrs. Price is the daughter of the late Jens Larsen from whom the Doddridge* bought their farm 45 years ago. The Larsons moved to Burlington where they resided until their death. She was on her way to Bur. lington to visit a sister."

" Ulyeses Grant Standley youngest son of William and Laura Standley was born at Eagle Nebr December 8 1879 and departed this life at Norton Kas August 6 1932 at the age of 52 years 7 months and 20 days JI was united in marriage to Hiss Helga Larsen bn September 24 1991 at Kirks Colo To this union three sons were born Clarence D( Ernest of Almena Kas and Leslie who departed this life at the age of 10 years' Mrs Helga Standley took her Journey to the great beyond on January 29 1908 On November 25 1908 Mr Stand-ley was united In marriage to Lela Lubbers at Eagle Nebr He leaves to mourn 1 his going his wife two sons five grandchildren one brother Standley of Durango Colo one sister Mrs Shaw of Norton one half brother Bailey of Lincoln Nebr with a host of other relatives and friends Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon August 9 th at 2:20 at the ME church with Rev A I Carlton the pastor In charge and interment was in the Norton cemetery "

Anna, born Feb 17, 1881 in Copenhagen, married Avalo Price, had Filetta Bertha Price May 1906 in Wyoming, and died in Denver.

Avalo was single in 1910 Cheyenne County, Nebraska, and registered in Adams County, Colorado, married to Anna Price.

In 1920 Adams County Avalo is 49, born in Iowa, Anna 39, Nebraska, Filetta B. 13 and Viola M. 11 born in Wyoming, Realto 9, Lyduna M. 8, Loretta O. 5, and Luella L. 2 born in Colorado.  Avalo is a ditch rider for an irrigation company.

In 1940 Adams County Annie Price says she was born in Denmark, widowed, naturalized.  With her are Viola 32, Lydema 29, Loretta 25, Lonella 23, and Elfrieda 20.  All five daughters do office work.





July 1950 Yampa, Colorado "Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hindman, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Perry, Misses Elfrlenda and Luella Price and Mrs. Loretta Rose drove out from Denver the morning of the 4th to join the Hindman party for the day. Lloyd and Ann came home with their folks and the rest of the party returned to Denver late Tuesday with the girl’s mother, Mrs. Price. "

"Francis was the son of Edward D. and Rose (Leonard) Larsen. He graduated from Topeka High School and served in the US Army during World War II. He married Opal D. Rumbaugh on September 22, 1948, in Topeka. Graveside services were at Mount Hope Cemetery, with military honors presented by Fort Riley."
