Ira John Whipple and Hattie (Duncan) Whipple, sons Clair and Dallas D. Wipple, daughter Ethel Whipple Armknecht, Jaqua

One tree says Ira was born Dec 1854 in Quebec, and married Irene L. Stephenson in 1874 in Lowell Massachusetts, and then Hattie Amelia Dunbar February 17, 1885 in Adams County, Iowa. 

Hattie had been in Adams County in 1880 with her parents, and in 1885 with her widowed mother.

In 1900 Tuttle, Kit Carson County, Ira J. said he was born Dec 1854 in Massachusetts, had been married 15 years to hatta Jan 1862 Illinois. They have Dallas D. Aug 1888, Alan C. Sep 1890, and Laverne Oct 1895, all Colorado.

Ira cash-claimed a quarter in 7S 46 W in Kit Carson County in 1891, and proved up on a quarter in 5S 46W - Kit Carson County - in 1897 - that's about twenty miles away from Hale, and a Timber quarter in 1901

1907 -

In 1910 Ira and Hattie are in Hale, Yuma County, with Clare and Ethel L.

Dallas D. is the next household, 21, single.

Dallas proved up on 320 acres in 15, 5S 42W in 1914 - he was right on the Kansas border.

1914 "Marriage license was issued July 3, to Dallas Dunbar Whipple and Miss Alma Helene Juhl, both parties residents of the Hale neighborhood.   The marriage was performed Sunday."

Ira J 1854-1939 and Hattie A. Whipple 1862-1919 are buried in the Armel cemetery.

So are Clair 1890-1946 and Gladys Alma (May) 1893-1949 Whipple

1919 "Dr. Pearis of St. Francis was called Tuesday to the William Armknrecht home to see rs. Whipple, who is very ill."

Ira is widowed in 1920 and 1930 Hale.

Alan C. proved up on forty acres in 6S 46W (Kit Carson County) in 1931...

Dallas Dunbar Whipple - Aug 23, 1888- Sept 14, 1956 and Alma Helena (Juhl) Whipple Jul 3, 1896- Nov 6, 1969, and sons Arthur Dunbar 1919-1974 and Philip Allen 1930-1971 are  in the Saint Francis Cemetery.

So is Armknecht, William Henry, 12 Feb 1894--13 May 1978, h/o Ethel L. WHIPPLE,
