Homer D. Hayward, Charles T. Hayward, George B. Hayward, Lewis Hayward

In 1900 Lansing precinct Lewis Hayward, Nov 1844 Ohio, has been married 31 years to Mary,  March 1850 Pennsylvania.  She has  had six children, four living.  Rachel, Dec 1890 in Colorado, and George, Nov 1884 in Missouri, are with them.

One tree said Lewis married Rachel Ann Nickeson Nov 11, 1866, and Mary Aug 21, 1869., and died Mar 25, 1911.

Next household is Homer, born Aug 1872 in Ohio, has been married a year to Mabel, Dec 1880 Kansas.  Ohio birth records have Homer D Hayward, born Aug 24, 1872 in Meigs County Ohio to Lewis Hayward and Mary Nickerson.

Previous page has an Albert Hayward, April 1875 Ohio, married seven years to Katie, Sept 1876 Iowa.

George proved up 320 acres in 32,  5S 42W in 1913, and Lewis a quarter in 33 in 1897, Homer a parcel in 31 in 1899.  Charles T. Hayward proved up a quarter in section 32 in 1895, and a timber claim next to it in 1899

Lewis - Nov 19, 1844 - Mar 25, 1911 is in the Jaqua Cemetery

One tree said Albert was born April 30, 1875 in Ohio and married April 30, 1893 - possibly Katie Arminta Van Pelt born Sep 1876, and died July 17, 1933 in Kansas.

The Jaqua Cemetery in Cheyenne County, Kansas has a stone for "Kittie" Arminta and for Lucy -Apr 23, 1911 - Aug 5, 1916.

FindAGrave says : Kittie & Albert B. Hayward were married April 30, 1893. Adopted 2 daughter in 1911. Lucy Hayward died of typhoid in 1916.
Albert B. Hayward was the 2nd son of Lewis & Mary (Nickeson) HAYWARD.
Hayward families came to Kansas (Jaqua) & Colorado (Beaver Valley) area around 1883.
Have picture of Albert & Kittie, in 1896 Beaver Valley School, Kit Carson County, Colorado.
Documented in Hayward History written in 1896. 

1911 "Mrs. A. B Hayward of near Jaqua, Kansas, who went to Denver a couple of weeks ago to adopt a baby, returned from the capitol city with a six months old baby girl last Thursday.

Sarinda (Hayward) Williams married Josephus Spaun November 4, 1866 in Meigs County, Ohio.
Sarinda's 1st husband Jeremiah M. Williams [1826-1862] died from illness acquired as of POW during the Civil War. Sarinda is widowed 1862 with 3 boys and losses her youngest in December 1862.
Sarinda married Josephus Spaun (1844-1934) November 4, 1866 in Meigs County, Ohio.
Sarinda & Josephus Spaun left Ohio in 1872 with son Albert B. "A.B." Williams and daughter Florence Spaun to settle in Iowa. Then moving on to Sherman County, Kansas in 1876 with daughter Florence Spaun.
Sarinda's 2nd son Charles A. (Bud) Williams was homesteading in Beaver Valley, Yuma County, CO [now Kit Carson County].
Sarinda & Josephus Spaun took a homestead in Sherman County, Kansas near the Colorado-Kansas state line.
