April 1897 "William Woods shot Enoch Burnett in a saloon quarrel in Crested Butte last
Sunday night. At last accounts Burnett was improving."

1900 La Junta, Colorado "William Woods, the famous broncho buster, and well-known in La Junta,
has been in town for several days.
He has just recently returned from Cape Nome - a sadder and a wiser man."
POSSIBLE
April 1902 Gilin County, Colorado "William Woods of the Tucker mine in Quartz valley district,
has the new pump in at the 300 foot
station running in good order. It is throwing 200 gallons of water per minute."
July 1902 "William Woods, of the Tucker mine, Quartz Valley district, has returned
from Fort Collins. He will return to that place later on and then examine mines about 75
miles from that place for Eastern parties."
October 1902 "S. A. Rank spent Sunday with his family at Boulder. He was accompanied by his friend William Woods of the Tucker mine."
William timber-claimed a quarter in section 27, 5N 43W in 1903.
