Frederick W. and Pauline Villm , 5 North 43 West



Hamburg, Germany marriages have a Pauline Beerkircher.

October 11, 1917 "Andrew Flury of Yuma, Alexander Marga, of Wray, and F. W. Villm, whose address is Holyoke, were given certificates of naturalization at the opening of the present term of court Tuesday. They represent three nationalities: Swiss, German and Russian."


F.W. Villm proved up a tract in section 3, 5N 43W in 1919.



May 1920 "Mr. and Mrs. Fred Villm and son, Freddie, were Holyoke visitors Wednesday. He has purchased a half section of land near Grant, Nebraska and will farm this summer. His heart is greatly improved since his treatment at Mayo Brothers."

Frederick Wilhelm Villm applied for passports in 1922, saying he was born at June 28, 1884 in Hoorheim, Germany, and did not know his father's name, wife Pauline born in Grossaspach, Germany, son Frederick born at Altona, Germany June 16, 1910, farming in Yuma County.

Perkins County marriages "Villm, Richard Fred Barry, Sandra Joyce"

Wendell G. Young, 82, died March 21, 2017 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born September 20, 1934 in Madrid, Neb., and graduated from Madrid High School. Wendell married Janet Villm on Dec. 29, 1955, and served in the Army for three years before moving back to Grant, Neb., in 1961. He lived in Grant and farmed until 1997 when he retired and moved to Lincoln. While in Lincoln, he enjoyed his retirement and spent a lot of time outdoors walking and attending his grandchildren’s activities. He lived at Holmes Lake Apartments until December of 2016, at which time he moved to the Waterford Assisted Living.
Survivors include his brother, Calvin (Irma) and sister Carolyn Weins; his daughter, Rhonda True (Bob); sons, Ryan (Shelly), and Rod (Pam); grandchildren, Nick (Mackenzie) Young, Michelle (Drew) Peterson, Cody Andersen (Brittany), Maddison and Torri True, Brayden and Kobe Young, Ashlie Pankonin, Nicholas, Emma and Anthony Izzo; great-grandchildren, Kastyn, Braxtyn, Bristyn Young, Carter and Hudson Peterson, Keith and Ethan Andersen.
A Celebration of Life was held in Lincoln on March 25 at Holmes Lake Apartment Clubhouse. Graveside services will be held at the Madrid Cemetery on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. A gathering of friends and family will follow the service at Zion Lutheran Church in Grant.
