"Dr. Verna B. Travis, 85, Kansas City, Kan., died Feb. 14. She was the sister of Raleigh Hall of Independence. Dr. Travis willed her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center. Memorial services were Saturday at the Central Saints Church."

November 1940 "Charles Travis of Phillips county is in jail at Holyoke and will remain there until he pays support to his wife and children, or until the judge orders his release. He was jailed on a charge of contempt of court in connection with a divorce case filed recently by his wife. "
