1912 Kirwin, Kansas "Mr. and Mrs. Claude Magers spent Sunday afternoon, with John ' Weihl and family. A jolly crowd gathered at the home of Lew Kallash last Saturday night to help celebrate his birthday."
Claude proved up two quarters in sections 10 and 11, 5N 43W in 1917.
Frances proved up a quarter in section 4, 5N 43W in 1919.

November 22, 1918 "Claude Henry Magers, a prominent farmer who resides 18 miles southeast of town, died on last Sunday night at 10:30, after suffering several days with pneumonia and influenza. His death came after his being unconscious several hours—he having suffered severely until the time of his death. He was 37 years of age and left a wife and one son, 12 years old."

Francis Kallash was born April 10, 1876 in Smith County, Kansas and passed away after a short illness at Colorado Springs, Colorado on April 3rd, 1925, aged 50 years, 11 months and 19 days. She was united in marriage to Claude Magers in 1908 and to this union was born one son, Merle, who was with her at the time of her death. Her husband departed this life at Holyoke eight years ago, and her remains were brought here to rest by his side until the Good Master shall call them forth to take up their eternal abode with him. There are also two brothers and one sister living, besides many friends who will mourn the loss of one who was so much loved. The funeral service was held in the Baptist church Tuesday, April 7 at 2 p.m. and interment made in the Holyoke cemetery"

Moberly, Missouri " Miss Ruby Lowry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lowry of Boulder, Colo., former of Cairo, became the bride last Saturday afternoon, November 7, 1942, of Merle Magers of Denver, Colo. The ceremony was performed at 4:30 o'clock by the Rev. Angus C. Hull, Jr., at his home. The bride wore a light blue velvet dress with a hat and veil of a matching color. Her flowers were roses, sweetpeas and snapdragons, fashioned in an arm bouquet. Mrs. Marion Mangus, sister of the bride, served as her matron of honor and wore a rose mist corduroy dress with black accessories. Her corsage was composed of pink rosebuds. Harry Sealander of Denver was best man to the bridegroom. The bride's mother was dressed in navy blue with navy blue accessories and her corsage was of a large white chrysanthemum. Present at the ceremony besides the wedding party were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lowry, parents of the bride, Mrs. Harry Sealander and daughter, Laurel, of Denver, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sealander, also of Denver, and Miss Marjorie Gardner. A reception was given following the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents, 1015 Fifth avenue. Thirty guests attended the affair, where a three-tiered decorated wedding cake was cut by the bride. The cake was served by Mrs. F. E. Lee and Mrs. J. K. Gardner of Louisville, who also assisted during the reception of guests. The bridal couple left after the reception for Carlsbad, N. M., and Old Mexico for their wedding trip. For her going-away costume the bride wore a brown and tan dress with dark green accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Magers will be gone a week and on their return will make their home in Denver at 4502 Beach street. Mr. Magers, formerly of Colorado Springs, where he received his education, is now employed at the postoffice in Denver. Mrs. Magers was educated in Cairo and went to Boulder to join her parents, who went there some time before. Mrs. Magers was employed at the Denver Ordance plant before her marriage. She discontinued her employment here about a month ago. "

1945 Moberly, Missouri

In 1949, the Herman Wright family of Cairo, Missouri made a western tour, "In Denver a day was spent visiting Mrs. Merle Magers, the former Miss Ruby Lowry of Cairo. At Boulder, Colo., they occupied a cabin at the Alps Lodge in the canyon and from there took short trips and visited with the Charles Lowry family, formerly of Cairo.."

In 1960 Merle W. Magers is a clerk, residing at 5082 Quitman, Denver, Colorado, spouse Ruby P. Magers.

Her parents were, per # 51391504, Charles Osborn Lowry 1887–1960 and Pearl M. Patrick Lowry 1890–1975
