John timber-claimed a quarter in section 28, 5N 43W in 1903.

POSSIBLY
In 1890 the Fourth of July in Fleming, Colorado, "Among those who were in attendance from Leroy and Dayville were...John Huff and lady..., all of whom were welcome to our little city."
This is John C. Huff, who farmed near Merino, Logan County.
1893 Fort Morgan, Colorado "L. S. Moore and John Huff are at
work on the Bijou ditcn near the Sanford Cattle Co's ranch,
and are piling up the dirt at a great rate."
The Morgan County 1893 election of 1893 "John Huff, for
sheriff on the Populist ticket, made a good and honest fight,
and Mr. Wiley followed him very closely."

Johnnie Ray Huff died in Laramie County, Wyoming on September 29, 1925 from an accidental gunshot wound.
He's buried in Wray 1897-1925 # 3700738.
"Johnny Ray, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Huff, was born
at Fredericksburg, Indiana, October 27, 1897, and departed life
September 29, 1925, at Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Those left to mourn his departure are his parents who resided at Wray,
Colorado, and four sisters, Mrs. Ada Galligher of Assumption, Illinois;
Mrs. Effie Colglazier of Holyoke, Colorado,
Mrs. Bertha of Pagosa Springs, Colorado,
and Mrs. Wressie Standiford of Laird, Colorado, and two brothers,
James C. of Los Angeles, and Guy of Sacramento. California,
together with other relatives and a host of friends.
In the spring of 1900 he moved to Illinois with his parents,
three years later to Wray, Colorado, where he grew to manhood.
In the spring of 1918 he took a homestead near Cheyenne,
Wyoming, and for the past six years has been foreman on a large
ranch in that locality where he made many friends.
A friend who knew him best expressed his character in these
words 'A dutiful son, a loving brother and a loyal friend has
passed from our midst, and our hearts are sad.'
Funeral services were conducted from the Wray Methodist
Church with Rev. Earl O. Harbour in charge, and interment was
made in Grandview."

John Fremont Huff and Lela Elizabeth Terrill married in Yuma County on February 28, 1934.
He's a laborer in 1940 Laramie, Wyoming, 32, with Lela 25.
February 1941 Wray "Mrs. Verna Mason entertained at her home Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. John Huff of Cheyenne, Wyo, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hanner of McCook and Mrs. Bessie Baldwin and family."
1942 "John Huff, of Laramie, Wyoming, spent the weekend in
Wray visiting his aunt, Mrs. Arthur Baldwin and family."
Bessie Jane (Huff) Baldwin 1879-1975 is buried in Wray, # 16988061.)
