Harvey Herman Gooden registered for WWI in Holyoke, Colorado, farming, born Sept 12, 1884, spouse Elanora.

Harvey proved up 320 acres in sections 1 and 2, 5N 43W in 1917, and another 160 by Stock in section 1 in 1921.

February 1920 "Harvey Gooden of south east of Holyoke received a telegram calling him to Bloomfield, Iowa on account of the serious illness of a sister."

November 1922 tornado south of Holyoke "There are thirty or more scholars in the district and the schoolhouse was a complete wreck. As the cyclone passed through here it had almost a due north course. It took Mr. Gooden's windmill, then a few of Mrs. Hotelling's outbuildings and part of Harry Martin's pig pen, all of Mr. Jaycox's buildings, crossed the road to the west and took Vern Ecbard's windmill and broke the windows of the house, then the school house and Mr. Bishop's house were demolished. "

May 1923 "Clifton Harte took his cattle to Mr. Gooden's pasture Monday for the summer."

March 1928 "Alvin 'Hoschouer, who has been working for H. H. Gooden, is now employed by Ed. McFarland. "

November 1933 " Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gooden and Erma Ranum and Louis and Bobby Winn called at the Arthur Groseclosehome Sundav evening.

Mrs. Harvey Gooden and Miss Erma Ranum spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Grover Ferrel.

"Miss Erma Ranum came home Sunday evening after spending two weeks with Mrs. Harvey Gooden. "

"Ross Shaw, Ed Rowe and Harvey Gooden returned home Saturday afternoon. They had been visiting relatives and friends in Missouri and Iowa for 2 weeks."
