Gabriel Schiesser and Maria (Ernst) (Hinterman) Schiesser , Pleasant Valley

In 1885 Arapahoe County (probably Denver) Gabriel Schiser is 22, working in a slaughter-house.

Edward Hinterman, born about 1860, was naturalized in Dallas County, Texas in 1887, arriving 1887.

Gabriel Schiesser, 28 married Maria Ernst, 26 in Yuma March 13, 1892, performed by Joseph Oesch, minister.

Gabriel proved up a quarter in 33, 4N 47W in 1894 - next to Anton Beer of the same year. 

The Denver land office records have a listing for Edward Hinterman in 4N 47W, but it wasn't completed. Perhaps he sold his claim.....

Anna M. and Gabriel divorced in Denver in 1897.

He served in Company L, First Regiment Colorado Volunteer Infantry during the Spanish-American War.

In 1900 Denver, Mary Schiesser born August 185 in Switzerland, has Carl Hinteman Sept 1890 and Frederick Schieser Nov 1892, both Colorado.

1905 Elbert "Mrs. Mary Schiesser is building a small house on the lot she recently purchased in Scott's addition and will occupy it for a home."

1909 Elbert County "Carl Hinterman and Fritz Schiesser spent the Fourth in Denver."

In 1910 Elbert County, Mary A. Schiesser is 45, born in Switzerland doing laundry- she's had six kids, three living.  Gladys D. Schiesser, 9, and Carl Hinderman, farm laborer. son, 20, born in Colorado.

In 1920 Boulder County, Gabriel, 52, is divorced, a dairy farmer, living alone.  He said he was born in Switzerland, immigrating 1878, naturalized 1887.

Anna M. Schiesser is in Elbert County in 1920, divorced, 55, born in Switzerland, immigrating in 1885, naturalized 1886.  She's a cook in a restaurant, and daughter Gladys D. 18, born in Colorado, is a waiter.

Gladys D. Schiesser married William M. Clark April 2, 1920 in  Elbert County recorded in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Gabriel is widowed in 1930 Boulder County, farming, living alone.

Anna M. Schesser is in Denver in 1930, 65, doing laundry.  Gladys D. Clark, divorced, 29, works in a tailor shop.  She has Dorothy M. 9 and Ida 6.

Gabriel  died October 1933, and was to be buried in Green Mountain Cemetery, Boulder.   #  11112512

Maria Schiesser received an old age pension in Denver in 1933 from the county commissioners.

In 1940 Denver Gladys, Dorothy, and Ida Clark, with Maria Schiesser are still together.

Anna Maria Schiesser, per # 132124291, is buried in Denver Fairmount.

Carl Edward Hinterman, born May 2, 1890 in Denver, registered for WWII in Berkeley, California, with Mrs. Irene Hinterman as a reference.

Carl E. Hinterman, born May 5, 1890 in Colorado, died October 18, 1968 in Butte County, California.

In 1930 Missoula Montana, Fred J. Schiesser is 37, Colorado, and Laura Shepherd, 63, widowed, born in Utah, "Foster Mother"

Fred J. Schiesser, born 1892, married Frances A. Armstrong June 14, 1941 in Lake County Montana.

Fred - 1892-1968 is buried in Miles City 95725784
