In 1930 Yuma County, Eckley precinct, William Meier is 28, Gldys J. 22, Agnes 2 and Wilma 1. From the neighbors, they are living east of Waverly.
January 4, 1931 "The stork express left twin daughters at the home of Mr.a nd Mrs. William Meier, January 4."
In 1940 Yuma County, Weld City precinct, William and Gladys ahve Agnes, Wilma, and Ellen>
1941 "Mrs. William Meier and daughters and Mrs. M.C. Rogers and sons cleaned the Pleasant Valley school house last Wednesday. Miss Olga Hollars, of Greeley, teaches at the Pleasant Hill school and Mrs. Stuck, of Yuma, teaches at Pleasant Valley.
Agnes Meier and Harold Lanning enrolled at Waverly high school...
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Meier and daughters spent Sunday at the parental Jones home.
1944 William Meier was dismissed from the Yuma Community hospital Tuesday afternoon after receiving medical care following the amputation of an arm in a feed grinder."

November 1, 1951 "Miss Ellen Meier of Denver spent some time with her parents Mr. and Mrs. William Meier."
December 13 "Ellen is employed at Floyd's Beauty Shop in Denver."
1953 "Mrs. Dillon Blach and daughter Theresa Ann of SAanta Maria, California arrieved in Denver by plane Friday night and were met by Mrs. Blach's parents, Mr.a nd Mrs. William Meier. They will bspend a month in Yuma and later will be joined by Mr. Blach, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Blach."

AGNES
Edwin (Ed) Hisam will celebrate his 90th birthday Tuesday. He was born in Washington County on the family farm to Adolph and Anna Marie Hisam on Oct. 29, 1923. He married Agnes Meier Dec. 16, 1946 in Yuma. In 1955 they moved to Greeley with their four children: Ricky (in San Antonio), Terry, Kathleen and Lynette in Greeley.
Ed worked for Snap-On Tools, Northern Colorado Laundry and Sanitary Laundry as a route salesman for many years. He also worked as a Realtor at Time Realty, Lott Realty, Coy Realty and Gilbaugh Agency and as a salesman for Jerome Company until retirement. After he retired, he went to work driving a tractor on the Delmar Walter Farm. He enjoyed this until his final retirement at 82.
Ed enjoys spending time with his children, 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He keeps busy with his yard work and garden in the summer and watching old westerns in the winter.
His son Ricky (Sylvia) San Antonio, Terry (Floyd) Graves, Kathleen Dvorak and Lynette Patton are hosting an open house celebration on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013.
