Wesley G. Horton , Pleasant Valley

Wesley cash-claimed a quarter in 2, 4N 47W, Yuma County, Colorado in 1891.  There were quite a few other cash claims - Burke, Oldham, Shockley, John Miller, Magee, Prince, Rutledge, Schauer, Francis Williams, Oliver Jackson, Horzfeldt, Seely, Hanford Brown   ..... in the area.

POSSIBLE

In 1880 Juneau County Wisconsin, Wesley S. is 22, with his parents Charles and Sarah J. Horton.  Siblings are William 21, John C. 14, Jary J. 12, Wilard 8, Makala 6, and George 3.

In Necedah, Wisconsin, Wesley S. Horton built one greenhouse. (1900 - American Florist Weekly Journal).

Wesley Horton is a market gardener in 1900 Juneau County, Wisconsin, born Nov 1854 in Wisconsin, married 13 years to Julia June 1858 Illinois.  She's had six kids, four living.  Margie Oct 1887 in South Dakota, Thomas Oct 1890 South Dakota,   Ezra April 1894, Cora July 1896, both Texas. 

When Ezra Lyman Horton registered in Olympia, Washington, he said he was born April 22, 1894 in Corpus Christi.

Thomas Wesley registered in Olympia, born Oct 11, 1890 in Black Hills, South Dakota - he was single with two children.

In 1905 Itasca County, Minnesota, W.S. and Julia E. have Margie 17, Thomas 14, Emery L, 11 and Cora E. 8, Texas.

In 1910 Island County, Washington, Wesley, farming, and Julia have Thomas, Ezra, and Cora.

Wesley and Julia are alone in 1920 Thurston County, Washington, where he is a shingle weaver.

Wesley S. Horton 1857-1925 is buried in Masonic Memorial Park, Tumwater, per 104018816, and Julia E. 1857-1924 #104018815.

1917 Miss Della Bollinger and Mr. Ezra Horton of Everett were united in marriage Wednesday evening, December 27. The wedding was a quiet one. Only immediate members of the family were present. 

Ezra 1895-1961 is buried in Forest Memorial, Olympia.
 Ezra's wife Hazel Lola (Bollinger) Horton 1894-1982 is buried in the IOOF cemetery, Tumwater 37851867.

William Horton married Jane Meek May 16, 1854 in Morgan County Kentucky.

Wesley C. Horton born Nov 12, 1856 in Morgan County Kentucky to William Horton and Jane Meek.  One tree said he was Wesley COOK Horton.

In 1860 Morgan County, William 28 and Jane 21 have "Wisley" 3 and Jesse W. 1.

In 1880 Wilson County Kansas, Wesley C. Harton, a marble cutter,  is 22, born in Kentucky, with father William K. a hotel keeper, 48 born in Virginia and Francis E. 39.  Siblings are John D. 19, Mollie . 12, Myrtle 7 Allie 3, Eva 1, and stepdaughter Etta B. Stinson, 12.

Wesley C. Horton, 24, married Rosa A. Bennell, 17, in Wilson County, Kansas on November 11, 1880.

In 1885 Wilson County, W. C. Horton is 28, born in Kentucky, coming to Kansas from Missouri, with R.A. Horton, 21, born in Illinois..

In 1890 Guthrie, Oklahoma Territory, Wesely W.E Horton is single, 33, born in Kentucky.

The Cook Horton of Oklahoma said "I first came to the Cherokee Nation in 1888, went to Stillwater in 1889 and came to Pawnee when the strop openedin 1893"  So it doesn't seem likely that he made the trips to Colorado to make a claim.

Wesley C  Horton married Sarah E. Harman in Logan County, Oklahoma March 26, 1891.

In 1897, Cook Horton was on the committee of Chandler Relief Fund,  Oklahoma, which was hit by a storm.

In 1900 Pawnee County, Wesley, a saloon keeper,  born Sept 1847 - age 42 (sic) has been married nine years to Sarah, born July 1873 in Kentucky.  John M Feb 1892, Mollie May 1894, and Eva Jan 1896.

In 1910 Pawnee County, Oklahoma, Wesley G. is a marble cutter, 52,  second marriage nineteen years,  to Sarah E. 37, Kentucky.  They have John M. 18, Mollie 15, and Eva M. 14, all born in Oklahoma.

In 1920 Payne County, Oklahoma, W.C. is a laborer for an oil company, 63.   He and Sarah E. 46 are alone.

In 1930 Pawnee County, Wesley and Sarah are alone.

They're still in Pawnee County in 1940 "Cook" Horton.

In Highland Cemetery, Pawnee County Wesley Cook Horton, born 1856 died March 7, 1946, Sarah Elizabeth Horton -1872- April 24, 1950.  FindaGrave # 20433965 has him listed as "W. Cook",  Sarah 20434000
