Alpha L. and Ada Honey , Pleasant Valley
In 1880 Washington County, Kansas, Adin A. Honey is 31, Jane E. 33, with Emma M. 10, Amelia M. 7, Edmon 6, Cyrus S. 4, and Alpha 3.
Adin Snow Honey, per some trees, had at least three wives. Jane was the first. "Mrs. Anna Buell-Honey was born in Miltonvale, Kansas December 5,1884 and died at Emmett, Idaho October 26, 1931. She was married to Adis S. Honey Dec 5, 1902. She is survived by her husband, four sons, and one daughter."
This is likely an uncle of Alpha- The funeral for Rollah Earl Honey,
81, Los Alamos, N. M., will be at 2 pm Saturday at the Phelps funeral
home, Miltonvale, Kansas, the Rev. Lloyd V. Kurtz officiating. Burial
will be in the city cemetery. Mr. Honey died of a heart attack April 27,
1976 at the Los Alamos hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1894, in Beloit,
Kansas and grew up and went to school in Miltonvale. He and his wife,
Frances, who died in 1974, lived in Wichita for 25 years before moving
to Manhattan in 1967. For the past Ite years, he had been living with a
son, Francis, in Los Alamos. He was a World War 1 veteran and a member
of the East Heights United Methodist Church, Wichita. In addition to the
son, surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. Alice Smith, Wichita, and Mrs.
Comfort Carter, Russell, and 4 grandchildren. ADA'S PARENTS Susan Lightner married Daniel Kaufman in Pennsylvania in 1876. In 1880 Dickinson County, Kansas, Daniel Kaufman was 27, Susan 21, with George D. 3 and Sarah A. 1. Susan Lightner Kauffman 1858-1889 is buried in Bennington, Ottawa County # 65508280. So is Willie L. Kauffman 1884-1885 "son of D & S. Kauffman" In 1920 Skagit County, Washington, Daniel, widowed, 67, is next to George D. 43, Sarah E. 38, Ernest 17, Bertram 14 Leona 10 - all kids born in Washington. In 1930 Skagit County, Washington, Daniel is widowed, 78, living with George D. 53, his wife Sara E. 48 Kansas, and their son Bertrum S. 25 Washington. Daniel died March 12, 1931 at age 78 in Everett, Washington - spouse Susan. He's buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Everett 1852-1931 122561061

One tree said Ada was born August 1880 in Miltonvale, Cloud County, Kansas to David Kauffman. But in 1895 Ottawa County, Kansas, Ada M. is 14, with Daniel Kauffman 43, George 18, Sarah A. 16, Myrtle 12, Mable B. 8, and Susan 6.
In 1900 Junction City, Kansas, "Alfred F." is 22, Ada M. 19, with Arthur C. two months.
June 2, 1905 Yuma "Born to Mr. and Mrs. Honey, who reside on the Knapp ranch, a girl baby, last Wednesday."
1907 Yuma "Al Honey has just given the roof of the Heiserman residence a coat red paint.(sic) "
In October 1908 Alpha was a witness for the claim of Simon Koenigsbrigge in section 7, 4N 47W
February 1910 "Al Honey, of Bryant, was a business visitor in Yuma on Wednesday."
In 1910 Magee precinct, Yuma County, Alpha is 32, Ada M. 29, with Arthur C. 10, Georgia A. 4, Colorado, and Carl W. 1 Colorado. They even have a hired man...Hazel White, 27 Missouri.
April 1911 "Al Honey and family were guests of Frank Woodward and family Monday." (Frank was my great-uncle, and was living about six miles south of Al's claim)
Alpha proved up a quarter in 4, 4N 47W in 1912.
He registered with a Haxtun address, born Feb 16, 1878, farming, nearest relative Ada May Honey.
In 1920 "on the main road east west Township 5N R47W" -Alpha and Ada have added Clara M. 9, Herminna G. 7, and Ada B. 4. Joseph Root, 24, is working for them.
In 1926 Colorado Springs Alpha L. (Ada M.) is a millman for Golden Cycle, living at 1118 W. Cucharras.
In 1927 they're still on Cucharras, and Ada is a cleaner at Printers Home (probably a retirement home for the newspaper workers' union)
In 1928 Colorado Springs they're living at 1306 W. Kiowa. Carl W. is also living there, and Clara M. a clerk at Robinson Drug.
In 1929 Ada works in the laundry at the Antlers Hotel, Colorado Springs.
In 1930 they're in Fort Collins, with daughter Georgia, 24, now married to Charles Anderson 32, with Evelyn 7. Father Charles P. Anderson 52 is in the household, and Ada B. Honey 16.
In 1940 Fort Collins A.L. and A.N. are alone, no occupation.
Ohio death records have Ada M. Honey, widowed, dying in Parkview Hospital, Toledo Ohio November 18, 1967.
Alpha 1878-1942 and Ada M. 1880 - 1967 are buried in Fort Collins. # 125482904.
The "Herminna" age 7 in 1920 has to be Grace M. Toth, born October 5,

In 1940 Toledo, George J. Toth, 31, Pennsylvania, a truck driver, married to Grace M. 28, Colorado.
George died October 23, 1986 or 1988 (there are two death records for George J.) in Lucas County, residence Toledo.

Lillian Ruth (Noble) Honey 1896-1993
Born to Wright R. Noble and Sulie Victoria Carner Noble, the
oldest of seven children (five sisters and one brother). She
married Arthur Clarence Honey Sr. September 12, 1920 in Haxtun,
Colorado. (recorded in Yuma County). Two daughters and a son were born to them in Colorado.
Daughter, Victoria May Honey died in October of 1923. The family
moved to Los Angeles, California in 1930. Ruth and Art moved to
Corvallis, Oregon in 1972 to be near their family. Their son
Arthur Clarence Honey Jr. died in June of 1989.

Velda Lillian Honey, born May 2, 1916 in Masonville, Colorado to Jess Angell and Jane Martin, died June 5, 1992 in Loveland. She married Carl W. Honey Oct 18, 1945. no service- cremation.
Carl Wilber Honey, per # 3352446, is buried in Fort Logan, Denver 1908-1972. His case was probated in Larimer County in 1973.

Clara Honey married Max James July 12, 1929, recorded in Douglas County.
In 1930 Colorado Springs, Max is 29, Clara M.19, with Betty M 6, Mary H. 5,. Earl, James, (brother) his wife Anna and their two kids are with them.
In 1940 Max, Clara M., Betty M. and Mary H. are still in Colorado Springs.
Max 1900-1970 and Clara M -1910-1984 are buried in Roselawn Memorial Park, Terre Haute, Indiana.
Clara Mae Honey married J.T. Denman April 12, 1938, recorded in Arapahoe County.

Charley Parker Anderson registered in Yuma County (Ford Route) working for B.D. Prentice, born July 24, 1898. Nearest relative was Mary Lucy Anderson of Tularosa, New Mexico. He was in Tularosa in 1910 and 1920. (B. D. Prentice was in Laird in 1900....)Georgia Honey married Charles Anderson Feb 21, 1922, recorded in Yuma County.
They divorced in Larimer County in 1937.
In 1940 Fort Collins, Charles P. is living alone, divorced, a cook.
Georgia is widowed in 1940 Fort Collins, a laundress, with Evelyn, 17. They have a 32-year-old male lodger, Lynn Douglas, garage mechanic.
1952 Albuquerque "Charles P. Anderson given divorce from JevreM Jameson Anderson and defendant restored to maiden name, Jameson" (this might be his father, living in Albuquerque)
Charles Parker Anderson - July 4, 1898- Nov 13, 1955 is buried in Fairview Memorial, Albuquerque # 54588497 - but the Albuquerque Journal has an obituary March 11, 1953.....
Georgia Rose Anderson was in probate in Larimer County in 1957.
