ROBERT S. HIRSCH, M.D., druggist, Ulysses, came to Nebraska in 1873; settled at Seward, where he followed his profession a little over one year, when he went to Polk County, and took up a homestead. Here he remained improving his farm and practicing until August, 1879, then removed to Ulysses, and in the spring following, started in the drug business, and is now the pioneer druggist of the town. Was born in Ladenburg, Germany, January 28, 1849, emigrated to the United States in June, 1867. Is a member of A, F. & A. M., Franklin Lodge, No. 447, of New York City; also I.O.O.F. Ulysses Lodge, No. 68 In 1885 Polk County, Nebraska, Robert Hirsch is 36, Louisa 26, with Elizabeth 15,(This is probably a census error - Elizabeth being the daughter of the household head. The census even has Robert as the wife of the head), Charles 7, Julius 4, L. 2, and Albert five months.

CALDWELL, Idaho - Services for Harmon C.
Eyestone, 86, of 610 S. 16th Ave., Caldwell, who died Monday at a Caldwell
hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
The Rev. Donald DeBoar of the Regular Baptist Church will officiate. Interment
will be at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
He was born April 28, 1886 near Gresham, Neb., a son of Harmon A. and
Amanda Luca Eyestone. He was reared in Gresham and attended college at Kearney
and York, Neb. He homesteaded at Yuma, Colo. He married Minda Mae Kirby Dec.
28, 1908 in York. They lived in Tobias, Neb., where he engaged in the hardware
business. They later purchased a farm and moved to North Loup, Neb. In 1923
they owned and operated a cattle ranch near Sargeant, Neb. until 1932, when they
moved to Idaho. They farmed in the Franklin community and he was treasurer and
a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years at the Franklin Community Church. He
retired in 1956 and moved to his present home in Caldwell. Mrs. Eyestone died
in October, 1971 in Caldwell.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caldwell.
CALDWELL - Mrs. Minda Mae Eyestone, 82,

S. 10th St., died Saturday at her home following an illness.
She was born April 8, 1889, at Gresham, Neb., a daughter of T.J. and Sophia
Worden Kirby. She was reared and attended school at Gresham. She was married
to Harmon G. Eyestone on Dec. 28, 1908, at York, Neb. They lived in Tobias,
Neb., where Mr. Eyestone was engaged in the hardware business, and later bought
a farm at North Loup, Neb. They came to Idaho on Dec. 30, 1932. They lived
north of Nampa and farmed until 1956, when they retired. They moved to Caldwell
in 1966 and had lived there since.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caldwell.
Surviving in addition to her husband re two sons, Howard K. Eyestone,
Caldwell, and Maynard M. Eyestone, Manila, the Philippines; four grandchildren
and a niece, Mrs. Margaret Patterson, Vancouver, Wash.
She was preceded by a brother and a sister.
Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Flahiff
