In 1880 Norton County Kansas, Alferd 45 and Mary E. 44 Ball have William W. 19, Alferd H. 17, Clara M. 14, Oliver D. 11, and Mary J.H. 6.

In 1900 Denver Alfred - Feb 1834 Ohio and Mary E. June 1836 Ohio are not employed.  Walace W. Jan 1862 in Iowa is with them - a hod carrier.

Wonder where Oliver and Alfred are in 1900......

ALFRED

Alfred H. Ball married Lillie H. Meehan in Denver September 16, 1900, the ceremony performed by Watson Ziegler, minister.  (Lillie H. Meehan had married James W. Walker in Denver in 1891)

In 1910 Denver an Alfred H. Ball, teamster, 47, with Lilly H. Ball, 48 - married nine years? have Ruth 8, born in Colorado.  The record says Alfred was born in Ohio, parents' birth unknown, so maybe Lilly gave to information.

Alfred proved up a quarter in 30, 4S 47W in 1910.

In 1920 Alfred H. 57, an unemployed teamster,  and Lillie H. 55 Ball are in Denver, and Wallace 58, still a hod carrier,  is living with them.

Alfred H. Ball  1863-1945 and Lillian H. Ball 1865-1929 are buried in Crown Hill. 48145522

In 1930 Denver Alford H. 67 is widowed, a house contractor, and Wallace 68 is still with him.  They have two boarders. Sister Clara M. 64, is with them, married to James A. Reams, 67, a house plasterer.  Clara Oct 7, 1865-Apr 23, 1954 is buried with James in Crown Hill.

Father Alfred Ball - Feb 7, 1835-Mar 15, 1924 is buried in Crown Hill.  The Mary E. Ball - Jun 5, 1836 - Aug 27, 1911 buried there is probably his wife.  Also buried in Crown Hill is Wm. Wallace - 1862-1941

OLIVER

Oliver D. Ball married Maud E. Corey in Denver April 6, 1910, ceremony performed by Walter S. Rudolph, minister.

In 1910 Oliver is in Kirk precinct, 40 born in Iowa, with Maud E. 32, also Iowa, newly married.

Oliver proved up a quarter in 33, 4S 47W in 1913, witnesses Corneliu Suderman, Henry Babb, Walter M. Clark, and J. Otto Colpitts, all of Fox.

1914 "Oliver Ball was helping John Heinrichs haul cane Monday."

In 1920 Oliver and Maude are in Gooding County, Idaho, with Alfred 8 and Gaselle 6, both born in Colorado, and Lora Edna ten months old, born in Idaho.

All five are in Jerome County, Idaho, in 1930, with Oliver "laborer at anything" - Gaselle is a helper in a beauty shop.

Oliver, born July 18, 1869 to Alfred Ball and Mary Hartley, died in Jerome August 11, 1945, and is buried in Jerome  41493800.  Maude E. born Feb 28, 1878, died Mar 30, 1956 and is also buried in Jerome.  So is Laura Edna Ball - April 5, 1919 - March 8, 2003.
