Seth H. Northcutt

In 1900 Harrison County, Missouri Willis and Martha I. Northcutt have Ashley C. April 1881, Seth H. July 1883, George L. June 1886, Susie B September 1888, Eddie D. July 1892, Cora M. January 1895, and roy May 1899, all kids born in Missouri.

Seth Harvester Northcutt registered in Grant County, Oklahoma, a farmer, saying he was born July 23, 1889

In 1920 Yuma County Seth is single, 36.

Seth proved up a claim in 1921 in section 6, 4N 45W, and the same year another 200 acres by Script.

He was delinquent on taxes on his 600 acres in 1923

In 1930 and 1940 he's still single, back in Grant County.

He married Rachael 'Dora' AKES, daughter of William Harrison "Bill" AKES and Mary Elizabeth ERNST (EARNST), in Aug 1946 in Medford, Grant County, Oklahoma. Conflicting evidence indicates he and Rachael 'Dora' AKES were married on 27 Nov 1945 in Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas

Rachael's uncle Absalom Akes had claimed land adjoining - and her grandfather ?  Union Clevenger was also a neighbor.

1949

Seth -July 23, 1883 - February 10, 1949 and Dora Rachael AKES Northcutt  - August 31, 1886 - January 4, 1987 are buried in Bayard Cemetery, Grant County.
