Henry R. Heldman, born in Greene County Indiana, to John Heldman and Barbara Carpenter, married Clarissa R. Osgood in Clarke Co, Ioa Sept 4, 1888.
In 1900 Franklin County, Neb, Wm. R. is 38, Mary 42, Branchie G. 16, Chloe B. 14, Dora A. 12, Edna L. 10, William G. 8, Orton R. 6, Mary A. 5, James G. 3,a and Caressa F. eleven months.

December 1911
Mrs. H. R. Heldman of twenty miles north of Wray related an incident to
us Saturday which might have been serious, but was bad enough as it was.
On Tuesday evening of last week Mrs. Heldman thought best to send her
fifteen-year-old daughter Mary, to the school house on a horse after a
younger daughter, Eosie, as the snow storm was getting bad and she did not
wish the girl to walk home through it. Mary reached the school house
alright and both girls started home but the storm kept getting worse and as
dark drew on they were unable to see their way, The snow was coming so
thick and the darkness caused everything to look alike and the girls were
unable to tell in what direction they were going. After wandering around
for several hours they decided to holler to see if they could make anyone
hear them.
They were heard by a dog which barked in answer to their call, and by
following the sound they came to the house where an acquaintance of theirs
lived. It was then twelve o clock. at night and they were begged to stay
the rest of the night, but fearing their mother would worry about them they
started home as they knew where they were, in a short time they were safe
at home but when they got by a warm, fire it was discovered that the older
girl was frozen in several places. She was effected the most as she had
been exposed to the storm so much longer than the other girl. She suffered
quite a little for a few days but was much better last Saturday. This
should be a warning for all parents to instruct their children to seek some
home in which to stay during a storm, rather than try to brave such a storm
.

Next to him, Earl B. Reams proved up two quarters in 1916.
1920 Craig, Colorado "Col. H. R. Heldman, was an arrival from Kremmling, on Saturday's
train. Mr. Heldman is an experienced auctioneer, and has about decided to
locate in Craig."
January 11, 1921 "Kremmling, Colo. Mrs. H. R. Heldman, forty-five, wife of
Col. H. R. Heldman, auctioneer and ranchman, was instantly killed when a
tree being cut down by her son, John Heidman, fell on her, breaking her
neck. Mrs. Heldman and her son were alone at the Gorge ranch, ten miles west
of here. After being struck the young man got his mother from under the
tree and carried her through two feet of snow over a mountain trail a half
mile to his cabin. His father was summoned and they called Dr. W. S. Fleming
of Kremmling. Coronet F. E. Barnard was summoned from Hot Sulphur Springs
and took charge of the body. He announced death was instantaneous, the tree
having struck the woman on the back of the head and neck. Mrs. Heldman came
to Kremmling four years ago with her family from Wray, Colorado. She is survived
by her husband, two sons, John and Vere, of Kremmling, and three daughters,
Mrs. Earl Reams of Martin, Colo., Mrs. Benjamin A. Depue of Longmont, Colo.,
and Gertrude Heidman, who is attending school here.
FindaGrave 63006795 says Clarissa Rowena Osgood Heldman (1870 - 1920) was the daughter of James B Osgood (1844 - 1918)
and Mary Ann Osgood (1844 - 1930).
August 1922 - Moffat County, Colorado
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Heldman. their son James and his wife, all of Franklin
county. Neb., were overnight visitors Friday with W. R.’s brother.
Col. H. R. Heldman, and nieces. Gertrude H. and Rossle Depue, of this city. The Nebraska Heldman is a cattle feeder and prominent
breeder of Percheron horses and Shorthorn cattle.
Henry's FindaGrave 63009988 says he was born Jul. 1, 1867 at
Stanford, Monroe County, Indiana, and died Feb. 4, 1936 at
Craig
February 14, 1936 Steamboat Springs "H. R. Heldman, 68, died at Craig last Tuesday. He had been ill
with heart trouble and when he returned from Denver he was taken suddenly ill and passed away.
He had lived in Kremmling and went to Craig in 1920. His survivors are four daughters; Mrs. Mary Waters of Yuma,
Mrs. Blanche Reams and Mrs. Rosie DePue, both of North Park and Mrs. Gertrude Abbett of Elko Nevada ; two sons, John of Dillon, and Vere, of North Park. The body was shipped to Kremmling."

Henry Rosson Heldman, son of John and Barbara Heldman was born in the state of Indiana,
July 1, 1867, and passed away at Craig, Colorado - February 4. 1936, at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 3 days.
When a small child he moved with his parents to Cainville, Mo., where he grew to manhood.
On September 4. 1888 he was united in marriage to Clarissa R. Osgood of Osceola, Iowa,
and to this union seven children were born, five daughters and two sons, one daughter dying in
infancy. After his marriage he lived for a number of years in the state of Iowa,
moving to Franklin, Neb. in the fall of 1904; later moving to Wray, Colorado, where he lived
until 1918 when he moved to Kremmling, Colorado.
After the death of his wife in November 1920. he moved to Craig, Colorado where he lived
until the time of his death. Surviving are six children, Mrs. Blanche Reams, Spicer. Colo.;
Mrs. Mary Waters, Yuma, Colo.; Mrs. Rossie De Pue, Walden. Colo.; Mrs. Gertrude Abbett, Elko, Nevada;
John Heldman, Dillon, Colo., and Vere Heldman, Spicer, Colo.; also ten grand children
and two great grand children, one sister. Mrs. Ida Bain, of Denver, Colo and one brother,
William Heldmen of Riverton, Wyoming besides many others."

In 1900 Weld County, Colorado, Edgar Waters, born Nov 1854, married 24 years to Clara March 1852, both Wisconsin have had nine children, all living. Eva M. March 1877, Hattie Nov 1879 both Wisconsin, Julia A. Nov 1881, George E. Nov 1883, Albert L. Sept 1885, and Laura July 1887 in Nebraska, Harry F. Oct 1889 and Edgar May 1895 in Colorado.
December 1908 Yuma Colorado "A card from Harry Waters informs us that he has moved from TieSiding, Wyoming, to Ft. Collins."
1909 Yuma "Harry Waters is working in the vicinity of Wray."
1910 Waverly items "George Waters and family will move near Eckley next week, where George will act as foreman of a big ranch."
In 1910 Yuma County, Edgar L. Waters is farming 56, with Clarissa A. 58, both born in Wisconsin. She's had nine kids, eight living. Harry F. is 20, born in Colorado.
1923 "Mrs. George Waters returned to Yuma last Saturday morning. She was accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wilkinson, of Muscatine, Iowa."
January 8, 1915 "Word comes to this office of the marriage of Miss Mary Heldman, of north of Wray,
and Harry Waters of Yuma. The ceremony was performed on Christmas Day in Denver.

October 11, 1917 "Three cases of poisoning developed in this county recently, Orville Francis,
the little four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Miller, of Happyville, being the first victim.
Candy was purchased at the fair held at Yuma a short time ago. Mrs. Harry Waters,
who was taken ill a few days later, the same kind of symptoms being present as in the case
of the Miller children, and she also had eaten some of the candy purchased at the fair.
Mrs. Waters became nauseated, throwing up most of the candy, and thus her system did not absorb
so much of the poison. She is reported this morning to be slowly improving."

In 1927 Fred Waters is in the fourth grade in Yuma.
In 1930 Yuma, on south Main, Mary M. Waters is widowed, 34, born in Iowa,
doing housework, with Fred 12 Colorado.
Fred Waters was on the Yuma football team in 1934, and attending Colorado University in 1938.
Yuma - February 1936 Mrs. Mary Waters returned from Craig to which place she had been called by
the death of her father, Henry R. Heldman.
Dec 21, 1936 "Mr. and Mrs. Geo Waters, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Waters, Mr. and
Mrs. Oakley Rutledge and daughter, Mrs. Mary Waters spent Christmas with
E.L. Waters in Yuma."
In 1940 Elko, Nevada, Mary Waters is a hotel chambermaid, divorced, 38 born
in Iowa – in Yuma Colorado in 1935.
Fred is in Los Angeles in 1940, 22, in Yuma in 1935. He's a lodger with A.P. 49 and Bessie H. Hurley, born born in Illinois.
Mary might have been in Elko to be with sister " Gertrude was born to Henry R. and Clarissa R. Heldman. She was reared in
Colorado and was the valedictorian of her graduating class in Craig, Colorado in
1924. She married Elmer H. Abbett in 1929 and they moved to Elko on July 1,
1933 where he was a road master for the Southern Pacific Railroad. They
divorced in 1941. She was elected to the office of Elko County Treasurer in
1946 until her retirement on January 1, 1971.

August 1953 "Fred Waters, who grew up in Yuma and lived here until 1940, was on the Hollywood ??? show, "It Pays to be Married" last week. He is the son of Mrs. Mary Waters and is now attending pharmacy school."
In 1961 Fred Waters of El Cajon California and Ralph Runnion of Los Angeles had made reservations for the class reunion. (Ralph's mother was Crystal Mealey.)
In 1981 Dr. and Mrs. Fred Waters of Clarkston Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Runnion of Sun City West, Arizona attendted the reunion.
In 1986 Dr. and Mrs. Fred Waters of Sun City West, Arizona attended the class reunion.
Fred died June 25, 1998, born Oct 1, 1917 at Eckley, Colorado.

ROSSIE
May 6, 1920 Moffat County
Tuesday evening at 9:00 o’clock at the office of
County Judge C. E. Herrick occurred the marriage of Benjamin A. Depue son of
Mrs. Chas. Oakes, and Miss Rossie H. Heldman, of Kremmling, Colo., O. L.
Davis and A. R. Crader acting as witnesses. After the ceremony the happy
couple were invited to the home of Mrs. Wahna Smith, where a most enjoyable
evening was spent in music, dancing and eating.

Earl Byron Reams was born May 5, 1889 at Reamsville, Kansas.
1909 Wray, Colorado "Mr. Reams will commence his new house next week on his homestead in
Section 18. He says their little sons are improving fast."
1912 "Earl Reams of twenty miles north of town made the Rattler office a
very pleasant call yesterday and left the wherewithal for a subscription for himself and he also ordered the Rattler sent to his father, Bart Reams
, of Riverton, Nebraska.
May 15, 1913 "Mr. Reams, who has been very sick, died at 2:00 oclock
Wednesday morning.. He leaves a wife and three small children. Mrs,
Reams is going east to care for her mother who is very ill."

Earl B. newborn. They're living with Henry R. Heldman 51 and Clara R. 49,

In 1930 Jackson County, Colorado E. Byron and Blanch are both 40, Vada 16,
Clarice 14, Bart E. 10, Neil H. seven months.

Vada Reams Franks June 3, 1913 - July 1, 2007
Vada Reams Franks, age 94,
presently of Bluewater, New Mexico, previously of Delta, Colorado died
Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Grants Good Samaritan Center in Grants, New Mexico.
She was born June 3, 1913 in Wray, Colorado to Earl and Blanche (Heldman)
Reams. She was married to Taylor "T.J." Franks on October 23, 1932 in
Laramie, Wyoming. In life she held many varied jobs. She was a Deputy
Sheriff and retired from the Montrose Russell Stover Candy Factory at the
age of 73. Her hobbies were hiking, canning and reading.
She is survived by
her son Thomas Lee Franks and his wife Carol, a daughter Blanche Finch and
her husband Dwain. She is survived by four grandchildren; Rhonda, Brad,
Terri and Taylor J., 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She is also survived by her sister, Clarice Belton of Canon City and her
sister-in-law Jackie Reams of Grand Junction along with numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband T.J. Franks, both of her
parents, a son James Earl Franks and two grandsons; Ronald Coe Franks and
Taylor M. Wehrle.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 6,
2007 at Delta City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mesa

William Vere Heldman married Abbey Elizabeth Allen Sept 24, 1927, recorded
in Jackson County, Colorado.
JOHN
1911 Summit County "The Misses Myrtle Rose, Letha Ritchey and Emma Pickett are visiting
Miss Letha's aunt, Mrs. J. M. Hall, at Argentine."
John Heldman married Emma Ritchey in 1926, and they're in Summit County in 1930.
John died in 1940.
