"Joseph Logan Scott, a retired blacksmith, died April 19, 1971 at a local hospital. He was 83.
Born Jan. 12, 1888 at Bucklin, Kans., to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Edward Scott, he came to Hood River 17 years ago.
Surviving Mr. Scott, who lived at Rt. 2, Box 270J, are his daughter, Pearl Rose of Portland;
two sons, Joe of Summerville and Rex of Portland; 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Al Kintner officiated at Mr. Scott's funeral, which was held April 21 at the Anderson Funeral Home chapel. Burial was at Idlewild Cemetery. "
