Charles James and Alta B. (Roberts) Deselms, Alvin
In 1900 Dundy County, Nebraska,
Jacob Deselms is farming, born Sept 1856 in Illinois, married 20 years to Minnie B. Feb 1860 Ohio. Walter Sept 1892, Franklin Sept 1875, George B. April 1888, Roy E. Mar 1890, Charles J. August 1892, Vera April 1894 and Ida March 1896 were all born in Nebraska.
Jacob is buried in Chase County, Nebraska, 1856-1936, with Minnie Belle (Turner) Deselms 1860-1943.
In 1900 Washington County, Kansas, Enoch Roberts is 52, Louisa J. 44, Sabina B. 14, Iva G. 11, and Alta B. 7.
May 4, 1916 "The marriage of Miss Alta B. Roberts and Charles Deselms was solemnized Monday morning by
Rev. A. N. Wolff, at the manse. Miss Roberts is well known in the vicinity eighteen miles northeast of Wray,
as she had taught several terms of school in that neighborhood and her parents reside near Alvin. Mr. Deselms
is a stranger to Wray people and came from Lamont, Nebraska."
Charles proved up a quarter in section 25, 4N 43W in 1921.
In 1930 Laramie, Wyoming, Charles W. Roberts is 50, divorced, with Iva J. 18 born in Nebraska, and Roscoe 16, born in Colorado. Brother-in-law Charles Deselms 37 born in Nebraska is with him, married but no spouse.
Charlie Deselms was also in the Chase County, Nebraska census in 1930,
with Alta 37 and her mother Louisa Roberts 74 and sister Ruth Roberts 29.
Glen Edward Felt, age 74, died Saturday morning, March 1, 1986, at the Fritzer Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Nebraska, after a lengthy illness. He was born December 3, 1911, the son of James William and Cora (Mader) Felt, in Yuma County, Colorado.
Glen grew up in the Champion area and attended school in Chase County. He was married to Viola Edwina DeSelms on June 13, 1936. They made their home in Culbertson, Nebraska. To this union, three sons were born: Walter James of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Edward Eugene of Stratton, Nebraska, and Roger Gene of Arapahoe, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola; brother, Charles; sister, Lily, and his parents.
In 1940 Bonners Ferry, Charles is a building contractor, born in Nebraska,
with Alta B. Colorado, both 47. Violet F. and Velda F. are both 8, and Ruth Roberts is 33.
Charles is buried in Bonners Ferry, Idaho 1892-1959 # 16359765. "Pvt Co C, 13th Infantry.
So is Alta B. 1892-1978 # 16359766.
Alta's mother Louisa 1856-1931 is buried in Wray # 63199897, with Enoch dying 1924, # 63199707.
