Augustus Lundy

In 1885 Saline County Nebraska Augustus and Laura Lundy, 32 have Ira 1, and two stepsons, Clarence 11 Harless and Roxy 9 Harless.

In 1900 Hayes County, Nebraska Augustus, born September 1852  and Laura J. January 1853, both Iowa, have been married 17 years.  Ivan H. Oct 1883, Grace June 1887, and Floyd E. Sep 1892.  She says she's had five children, all living,

Clarence C. and Clara M. born August 1875 in Nebraska, are still in Saline County in 1900, with Herald V. born June 1899.

In 1905 Augustus and Laura are  in Morris County, Kansas, with Ivan H., 21, Grace W. 17, and Floyd E. 12

In 1910 McPherson County, Kansas, Augustus and Laura J., both 57, Floyd E. 17, and niece Beulah Overman, 13, born in Nebraska.

Clarence and Clara are in Red Willow County, Nebraska in 1910, with Harold 10, Irene 6,and Lyle nine months.

1917 "Mr. and Mrs. A. Lundy, northwest of town near the old E-V ranch, left last Sunday evening for Western, Nebraska, being called there by the illness of Mrs. Lundy's mother."

Augustus proved up 240 acres in 13 and 14, 3N 45W in 1919, witnesses Otto D. Finn, Clyde E. Cunningham, Saul W. Biddinger, and Henry R. Biddinger, all of Wray.

In 1920 Wray precinct Augustus 67 and Laura J. 66, both born in Iowa, have Floyd G. 27, Nebraska.

1922

They're alone in 1930 Yuma County, still farming. at age 77, but Floyd E. Lundy is next on the census page.  He's 37, married to Irine W. 33, with Donald 6, John E. 4, and Floyd E. Jr. 2.

They're next to Floyd on the 1940 Morrill County Nebraska census, both 89.

Augustus died Feb 21, 1941, Laura Jane (Overman) Lundy May 30, 1942, and are buried in Oregon Trail, Morrill County.  81716233

FindAGrave says Augustus' parents were Eli Lundy and Mariah Chadwick, Laura's Charles Overman and Mary Hampton

In 1915 Clarence applied to lease a school section in 4N 44W - giving his address as Stratton, Nebraska.

Clarence Claud Harless registered in Yuma County, born May 4, 1877, and was married to Clara M. Harless.

1919 "C.C. Harless and family, north of Wray, moved last week to a farm southeast of Laird."

In 1920 Laird precinct Clarence 46, Clara M. 45, Hearl (sic) B. 20, Bula I. 16, and Lyle E. 12? are farming.

In 1923 Irene Harless won a prize for poetry for the high school newspaper, the "Wray -O' Light"

Harold Victor Harless registered in Yuma County, born June 13, 1899, farming for his father, single.

Harold married Geneva Atwood January 19, 1920.

Clara M. Harless 1875-1923 and Clarence Claude Harless -1874-1942 are buried in Wray.

Clarence married Ilma L. Wade June 12, 1936. (Ilma Wade had divorced George H. Wade in El Paso County - but no date shown)

In 1917 "Ilma L. Mullison Wade, formerly Ilma M. Mullison" proved up on land in 3N 44W, section 25.

1917 Wray "George Wade and Ilma Mullison were united in marriage by Dr. D. A. Brown last Friday afternoon."

She's probably the Ilma (Mullison) Wade, with her parents Lewis and Mary Mullison in 1920 Yuma County.  She's 25, widowed, with son Lesley E. fourteen months.  In 1930 Lesley is with his widowed grandmother Mary E. Mullison  in Yuma County.  Lesley is a dishwasher ina n Albuquerque hotel in 1940.

Ilma may have ended up in Nebraska

Floyd Evans Lundy registered in Yuma County, born Sep 5, 1892, single, farming by himself.

Floyd and Irene have moved to Morrill County, Nebraska in 1940, with Donald 16, Edward 14, Floyd 10, Ronald 8, Lyndall 7, and Victor 1.
