Leroy John and Ethel Maude (Dinsmore) Elliott

Leroy John Elliott was born April 1, 1888 in Hyde County South Dakota to William Thomas Elliott and Anna Florence Spowage.

Ethel Maude Dinsmore was born May 28, 1895 in Gosper County, Nebraska to Wilfred Harrison and Minnie D. Dinsmore.

In 1900 the Elliott family is in Clay County South Dakota, and in 1910 Anna F. widowed is in Gosper County Nebraska with Nella 24, Leroy J. 22, and Floyd F. 12, all kids born in South Dakota,.

In 1910 Ethel Dinsmore is with Wilford and Minnie Dinsmore in Gosper County.  So Leroy must have come out with them to Yuma County.

Leroy proved up two quarters in 4, 3S 47W in 1916.

July 1916 "Leroy Elliott and Miss Ethel Dinsmore of Craig were married last week, Rev. Horace Mann officiating."

Floyd registered in Moffat County, saying he had a wife and child.

In 1920 Moffat County, Leroy says he's 31, widowed, but Ethel, 24, is married.   They have Virginia J. 2.

In 1930 they're back in Gosper County, with V. June 12, Harold L. 10, Bess M. and Betty M. 8, Maxine 6, and Carol Lea 4.

In 1940 Gosper County L.J. is 51, Ethel 44, Harold 20, Bess and Betty 18, Carol Lea 14,  with June, 22,  married to Ray Lattin 25.

LeRoy J. Apr 1, 1888 - Feb 18, 1950 and Ethel May 28, 1895 - Jan 1, 1992 are buried in Elwood, Gosper County.
