Perry and Mary Minniear, Otto J. Minniear , Copper Kettle


Perry Minniear and Mary Matlock married on June 28, 1871 in Piatt County Illinois.

Perry Minier of Eldora Iowa, husband of Mary Medlock, was born in Peoria, Illinois to Isaac Mimier and Mary Gerhaeart, both born in Ohio.

Laura Mabel Miniear was born February 7, 1889 in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa to Perry Miniear, of Ohio age 40, a brick molder and Mary Ward Medlock, 37.
In 1895 Hardin County, Perry is 45, "Medlock" 43, Walter C. 17, Nellie J. 14, and John 11 all born in Illinois. Otto 8 and Laura 6 were born in Hardin County.

In 1900 Hardin County, Iowa, Perry Minniear born July 1849 in Illinois, with Mary J in Illinois, are living with son Walter Oct 1877 in Illinois. Annie July 1872 in Illinois, and Mabel Feb 1889 in Iowa. Nephew Roy Spencer June 1892 in Iowa is with them, father born in Michigan.

August 1, 1901 Eldora, Iowa "Perry Minniear left Thursday morning for a six weeks visit with relatives and old friends.... This is the childhood home of Minniear and her visit will no doubt be a pleasant..."

June 1911 "Mr. and Mrs. Perry Minniear, who have been visiting their daughter, Mrs. Sam Williams, and other relatives, for several months returned to their home at Eldora, Iowa, Tuesday morning."

June 1912 "Mr. and Mrs. Perry Minniear of Eldora, Iowa, arrived one day last week and contemplate making this their permanent home. Mr. and Mrs. Minniear are Mrs. Sam William's parents."

1912 " Mrs. Sam Williams mother, Mrs. Minniear, is under the doctors care this week."

1913 "Otis Minniear returned Sunday from a three months' visit with relatives at Eldora, Iowa."

September 6, 1917 " Mrs. Sam Williams received word Inst Monday of the death of her mother, Mrs. Perry Minear , of Steamboat Rock, Iowa. Mrs. Minear will be remembered by many of the people of this county, as they resided on the Arickaree southwest of town for a number of years. Mrs. Williams did not reoeive word of her death until after the funeral waa over."

Perry is widowed in 1920 Wray, 70, living with daughter Mabel L. Williams 25 and her husband Sam 40.
Owen J. is 8, Merle I. 5, and Hazel J. 3.

Perry Minniear 1849-1938 is buried in Eldora, Iowa # 150102683, with Mary (Matlock) Minniear 1852-1917.
He died in Independence, Buchanan County in the state hospital.

1910 Wray "Mrs. E. Williams, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Ray Cartwright, arrived Sunday from Steamboat Rock, Iowa. Mrs. Williams is the mother of Sam Williams and has a claim near her son's, a few miles west of Reecher Island. "

March 1911 "Mr. and Mrs. Sam Williams spent Sunday out at their home on the Arickaree."

"Sam Williams received word from Mrs. Williams at Steamboat Rock, Iowa this week to the effect that, a baby boy had been born to them on Monday, Dec. 4, 1911 and Sam has been wearing the usual broad grin that comes on the Daddy when the first born is of the masculine gender."

November 1913 " Mrs. Mary E. Williams arrived in Wray Sunday and is visiting her son, Sam Williams, and family of southwest Wray. Mrs. Williams comes from Steamboat Rock, Iowa, and will spend tho greater part of this winter with her son."

Mary E. Williams proved up 360 acres in section 7 adn 18, 3S. 43W and section 12, 3S 44W in 1914.


Perry Minniear is widowed in 1920 Wray, 70, living with daughter Mabel L. Williams 25 and her husband Sam 40.
Owen J. is 8, Merle I. 5, and Hazel J. 3.

OTTO


1909 " Mr. and Mrs. Minniear arrived this week from Rhinelander, Wis., and have rented furnished rooms at S. J. Lewis in West Wray. Mr. Minniear comes to Yuma county to locate permanently."

In 1910 Wray, Otto is a farm laborer, with Anna M., both 23 born in Iowa.

Otto proved up 320 acres in sections 1 and 2, 3S 44W in 1914.



In 1920 Otto and Anna are farming in Freeborn County, Minnesota.


Otto and Anna Minniear are in Oneida County, Wisconsin in 1930.

"Otis" and Anna are in Oneida County in 1940, too.

January 1914 "Mrs. Otto Minniear of south of town is spending this week visiting her sister, Mrs. Sam Williams, in Wray."

Otis Isaac Minniear, born Aug 9, 1886 in Eldora, Iowa, registered for WWII in 1952 in Pelican, Wisconsin.

Otis Isaac Minniear 1886-1958 is buried in Hardin County, Iowa # 151068553, with Anna M. 1887-1986.

ANNIE

Anna Eurith Minniear was born July 7, 1872 in Monticello, Illinois, named Otto in 1940.

In 1920 McPherson County, South Dakota, Frank W. Otto is 24, Anna E. 37, married six years. It's Frank's first marriage, Anna's second. Roy P. is 16, born in Iowa, Frank J. 3 in Wisconsin.

In 1920 Brown County, South Dakota, Frank Otto is 53, born in Michigan, Anna 47 in Illionois. Roy Spencer is 24, born in Iowa, and Frank Otto is 13, born in Wisconsin.

They're in Brown County in 1930, and in 1940 Anna is widowed, in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, 68. FrRoy Spencer is 45, Frank Otto 33 married to Mamie 26, with Dorothy 4 and Freances 2.

NELLIE

Nellie J. Minnier, 19, born in Illinois, married Samuel R. Green on January 9, 1899 in Marshall County, Iowa.

November 1925 "Mrs. Nell Green, who spent the summer here with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Williams, left Monday on her return to her home in Mason City, Iowa. "

Samuel Riley Green, born in Bloomfield, Illinois to Charles R. Green of New York, and Ann M. Branierd of Scotland, died July 21, 1940 in Cerro Gordo County, to be buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.
" Funeral Services will be held at Tuesday afternoon in the chapel of the McAuley and Son funeral home for Samuel R. Green, 70 who died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. L. McQuatters, 1021 First street northwest, following a weeks illness.
One week ago Green suffered a stroke.
The Rev Carl Sentman will officiate at the last rites and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Green was employed by the Rolfe Iron Works for 17 years and retired last September.
Mr. Green was born Oct. 1, 1863, at Bloomfield, Illinois. He was married to Nellie J. at Marshalltown on Jan. 9, 1897. Surviving Mr. Green are his wife, Mrs. Nellie Green, Mason City, tnree daughters, Mrs. McQuatters, Mason City, Mrs. Karl Elmquest, Marquette, Michigan, and Mrs. Dorthea Monahan, Long Beach, California, and two sons, Frank S. Green, Wellman and L. H. Green, Mason City and a Brother Kd Green, Steamboat Rock, eight grandsons and nephews "
