In 1900 Linn County, Iowa, Francis is farming, born June 1854, married 22 years
to Rachel May 1854, Frank Nov 1877, Fanny March 1881, Roy B. 15 and Emil R. May 1887, all born in Iowa.
In 1910 Francis, Rachel, and Fannie are farming in Oneida County, Wisconsin.
Roy is a laborer for Charles and Cecile Kugel, also in Oneida County.
December 1912 Wray "Roy Gilmore of Idalia came over last Sunday
to meet his brother, Emil, and family who were expected to arrive the
first of the week from Rhinelander, Wisconsin."
Francis proved up two quarters in section 13, 3S 44W in 1917.

In 1920 Yuma County, Francis is farming, Rachel D., both 65 born in Iowa.
Fanny J. 38 is single, also born in Iowa.
March 8, 1928 "Francis M. Gilmore, 73-year-old farmer who
resided some 20 miles south of Wray, died quite suddenly Sunday
afternoon, March 4. Mr. Gilmore had been in failing health for some
time. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Armel and
burial took place at Armel."
March 15 "Francis Marion Gilmore, son of Major and Rebecca
Gilmore, was born in Jackson county, Iowa, June 17, 1854, and died at
his home near Armel, Colo., March 4, 1928, aged 73 years, 8 months
and 13 days. He was married to Rachel Potter of Jones county,
Iowa, Feb. 13, 1877. To their union four children were born,
three of whom preceded their father to the great beyond,
Roy remaining with his mother to mourn their loss
of a kind husband and father. The remains were laid to rest
in the Armel cemetery."
October 17, 1935 "Rachel Potter was born in Jones county, Iowa, May 28, 1864. She was married to Francis M. Gilmore February 13, 1877. Mrs. Gilmore departed this life Oct. 18, :Is'36, at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 16 days. Funeral services were held Tuesday m
orning, Oct. 16 at the Hitchcock mortuary with Rev. J. E. Coe,
pastor of the Nazarene church officiating. The remains were laid to
rest in Armel cemetery.
The family came to Colorado in 1911 and settled on a homestead 20 miles south of Wray where they lived until the death of Mr. Gilmore. Since that time Mrs. Gilmore had lived in Wray most of the time. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ and associated with the Armel church. While living in Wray she attended the Nazarene church when she was able to do so. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore. The husband and three of the children preceded the wife and mother in death. One son and four grandchildren remain. The son Roy, resides at Fort Morgan. Sincere sympathy is extended the bereaved son and other relatives."
FANNIE
April 8, 1926 "Miss Fannie Irene Gilmore,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Gilmore of near Armei Colorado, was
born in Fayette County, Iowa March 26th, 1881 and died at her
home near Armei April 1st 1926 at the age of 45 years and 6 days.
Deceased was almost an invalid for several years and
shortly before hendeath was stricken with apoplexy from which
she died after a couple of weeks of suffering.
She leaves to mourn her loss, Father and Mother,
and one brother Roy Gilmore.
Interment was made in the Armel Cemetery April 3rd 1926.
Services was held at the house by the undersigned. She seemed to bear her affliction with patience. "

Roy proved up 320 acres in sections 11 and 12 in 1914.

Leroy M. Gilmore of Vernon, Colorado served in Headquarters Company, 341st Field Artillery in WWI - the company was in the Metz offensive November 8-11, 1911 and was part of the German Occupation.
May 1915 "Miss Louise Thomas of the Vernon neighborhood is the guest of her sister, Mrs. R. E. Calhoun. "
October 2, 1919 "A marriage license was issued last Saturday to LeRoy Gilmore of Wray , and Miss Louise Thomas of Vernon."
1929 "Morris Gilmore of northwest of Wray is visiting his grandmother, Minnie Thomas."

March 1933 "Mr. Roy Gilmore and family have moved to the Pierce Miller place east of Laird."
August 1933 "Mr. and Mrs. Eld Bascue and family have moved to the Miller place east of Laird which was formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gilmore and family. "
March 1936 "Mrs. Minnie Thomas recently returned from Fort Morgan where she had visited for a month at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gilmore. "
April 1936 "Another aged resident of Vernon and a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran church of that place was called to her eternal reward on Tuesday evening, April 21, namely, Mrs. Minnie Thomas. She had readied the age of 73 years, 9 months and 6 days. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon in the Lutheran church with Rev. G. A. Weinrich conducting the services. The remains were laid to rest in Glendale cemetery. Anna Minna Winkelman was born July 15, 1862, in Hasselbusch, Germany. In 1882 she came to America, stopping first in Chicago, 111. The next year she came to Rising City, Neb., where she' was united in marriage with John Thomas. To this union ten children were born, two of whom died in infancy. In the spring of 1899 the Thomas family came to Colorado, settling on ahomestead near Vernon. In November of that same year Mr. Thomas died, leaving the widow practically penniless to rear her eight children. The Almighty* Lord in whom she trusted, strengthened and encouraged her, so that she was able to overcome seemingly insuperable obstacles and difficulties. Her death is mourned by her one surviving sister, Mrs. Fred Engel, Sr. Her eight children, Mrs. Clara Bower, San Bernandino, Calif; Mrs. Anna Hadlock, Vernon; Mrs. Katherine Calhoon, Caldwell, Idaho; John Thomas, Towner; Edward Thomas, Colorado Springs; Fred Thomas, Vernon; Harry Thomas, Idalia; Mrs. Louise Gilmore, Fort Morgan; also by sixteen grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, and many other less near relatives, and friends. "
February 1937 "Roy Gilmore writes from Fort Morgan that The Rattler will be a necessity at his home the coming year."
In 1940 Fort Morgan, Colorado, Leroy is a dry land farmer, 50, with Louisa H. 42, Morris H. 19, and Elvin L. 9.
August 1948 " Mr. and Mrs. John Loir and Robert Morgan left
Monday for their home in California. They were accompanied by
Mrs. Anna Hadlock who will visit in their home.
They will visit a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gilmore at Henderson, Colorado."
May 1951 "Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Gilmore of Henderson arrived at the Roy Calhoun home Sunday and spent the day and night. Monday was spent, at the Bob Wingfield home and with other relatives. Mrs. Gilmore is the former Louise Thomas, youngest sister of the family, who had not visited here for many years. "
June 1957 " Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gilmore of Henderson spent Decoration time visiting Mr. and Mrs. Roy Calhoon, Mrs. Anna Hadlock and i other relatives and friends."
Parker, Colorado 1977 "Dinner guests of the Leonard Prices Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Gilmore, of Castle Rock."
" Eldon Leroy Gilmore was born in Wray, Colorado, on May 5, 1930, and died at his home in Richland,
Washington, on October 29, 2011, after battling cancer.
Eldon was a life long teacher and was a graceful man
in everything he did. His life's work of enjoying
science
and mathematics was started when he won the Bausch and Lomb scholarship upon graduation from High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Northern Colorado and then worked for Shell Chemical, Inc. until he decided that teaching was his aspiration. He taught in the Denver Public Schools for over 30 years with great success, which was in part evidenced by sponsoring two International Science winners. He strongly believed that educated citizens are the foundation of a democracy.
He received a master's degree in education from the University of Denver, and a master's degree in physics from Colorado State University. He was awarded several fellowships: from General Electric Company to study at Syracuse University, from Shell Oil Company to study at Stanford University, from the National Science Institute for 5 years of research and study at Colorado State University, and from the National Science Institute for study at the University of Colorado.
He believed in giving back to society by his volunteer work. He was President of the Board of Directors for the Denver Public Schools Retirement Association for 10 years, was Douglas County Democratic Chairman for 6 years, and was active in the Adult English and Mathematics learning program. After moving to the Tri-cities 10 years ago, he volunteered at McNary Wildlife Refuge and participated in shoreline maintenance where he lived. He was an avid bird hunter and traveled extensively, enjoyed dancing, and played duplicate bridge, but most of all he enjoyed his grand children and their activities.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie.
They had two sons, Bradly who preceded him in death and
Tyler. Surviving are his daughter-in-law Suzan,
with sons Quinn and Cole; son Tyler and his wife Joan
and children Gavin, Kendell, and Cara.

Morris Hubert Gilmore was born April 29, 1922 in Wray,
to Leroy M. Gilmore and Louise H. Thomas, dying October 20, 1991.
At one time, he was listed as living in Chugwater, Wyoming.
