Walter L. and Alice M.(Pesch) Stevenson
June 5, 1908 "The commodious home of Mr. and Mrs. Pesch, fifteen miles north and west of Yuma,
was the scene of a very pleasant wedding Wednesday at ll a. m. when their daughter, Alice M.,
was united in marriage to Mr. Walter L. Stevenson. The witnesses to the ceremony were
John Lindgren and Miss Mabel Varner, and the beautiful and impressive ring form of marriage service was used, the circle being
completed between the officiating minister, Rev. S. J. Megaw,
and the contracting parties with a fine gold ring which was then
adjusted on the finger of the bride as a pledge of future fidelity.
The lady was charmingly gowned - white liberty silk with rich insertion,
and Mr. Stevenson amiably commended himself in diffident modesty
before the large company of guests who came to help make the day
memorable. The young people took No. 16 east to Kansas where they
will spend the honey moon with relatives, after which they will be
at home to their friends on the ranch. We wish them prosperity and
happiness thru life."
March 12, 1909 "Dr. Miller reports the arrival of a fine little daughter at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stevenson
on Friday morning."
1909 Yuma "Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stevenson who reside ten miles north
of town, were in the city Saturday, and while here paid this office a pleasant call."
Walter proved up a quarter in 5, 3N 48W in 1913, witnesses Levi Moser, Frank H. Hammond, Jay Pounds, and Arthur Hackler.
"Dr. Cavey reports the arrival of a 10 1-2 pound baby boy at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stevenson on Saturday, October 17th, 1914."
In 1920 Yuma County, Walter is 37, Alice 35, Lukettig C. 11, Susie R. 9

Margert E. 5, Robert L. 3, and Clarice F. 1. May L. Pesch 72 is living with them.
1927 "Mrs. L.A. Mustain and Mrs. John Deering went up to Fort Morgan SWednesday to visit their mother Mrs. Mary L. Pesch, who is ill at the home of Walter Stevenson near that city.
June 1928 
October 23, 1958.
"Mrs. Walter Stevenson of Tryon, Nebraska, came to Yuma on Tuesday to attend the funeral of her husband and remained to spend the rest of the week with her sisters, Mrs. L.A. Mustain and Mrs. Mary Deering."

HETTY
Hettie 1909-1985 is buried in Lincoln County, Nebraska, # 61908482, with Edward L. Goedert 1908-1999.
SUSIE
In 1940 Washington County, Colorado, Susie is 29, teaching school, and sister Jessie June 15 is with her.
Susie Ruth (Stevenson) Zimmerman 1910-2000 is buried in Keith County, Nebraska # 47355008, with Carl E. 1910-1995.
ELLA
Ella May Green, 92, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died Friday at the Life Care Center of Cheyenne, 25 February, 2005,
Mrs. Green was born Sept. 26, 1912, in Yuma, Colorado to Walter and Alice (Pesch) Stevenson. She married Clarence J. Green Aug. 28, 1937. in Fort Morgan. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence, and one son, Evan J. Green, both of Cheyenne, Wyoming; four sisters, June Powers of North Platte, Neb., Jean Shimmon of Tryon, Neb., Clarice Rosentrater and Margaret Newtson, both of Paxton, Neb., and one grandson.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Stevenson, and two sisters, Hettie Goedert and Susan Zimmerman.
Ella is buried in Fort Morgan # 75577016.
MARGARET
Margaret E. "Mickey" Newtson 1914-2007 is buried in North Platte # 115556897, with Melvine W. 1918-2008.
ROBERT
Robert L. Stevenson 1916-1999 is buried in Hooker County, Nebraska # 73410571.
"Marie Stevenson, 92, of Tryon, passed away Feb. 24, 2011, at Linden Court in North Platte.
Marie was born June 8, 1918, north of North Platte, the oldest of six children born to Fred W. and Nellie E. (Lister) Jackson. The family spent many hours enjoying Jackson Lake, a favorite fishing spot for the community. One of their favorite winter activities was ice skating. She attended District 83 grade school, later graduating high school in 1936. Marie worked for lawyer E.H. Evans for several years.
On Oct. 11, 1942, Marie married Robert L. Stevenson and they moved to the ranch north of Tryon in 1945. Marie and Robert had three children, Nellie Alice and Robert Neal and Judy Marie. "
CLARICE
Clarice Faye Rosentrater 1918-2007 is buried in Keith County # 55516455.
Clarice Rosentrater was born on Dec. 21, 1918 at Yuma, Colorado. She was the sixth of eight children born to Walter and Alice Pesch Stevenson.
The family moved to Fort Morgan, Colo., where she attended elementary school. The Stevenson family then moved south of Sutherland, Neb., and Clarice attended high school in North Platte, Neb., graduating from North Platte High School in 1937. After her graduation, she worked as a telephone operator in North Platte.
Clarice was married to Malvin Rosentrater on Oct. 28, 19 43 at the First Lutheran Church in North Platte and they made their home on their farm north of Elsie, Neb., for the rest of her life.
She had developed a malignancy and had been moved to the Sutherland Care Center in May where she died on Sunday morning, Aug. 12, 2007. She had reached the age of 88.
Clarice was a long time member of the Paxton Trinity Lutheran Church and the Trinity Circle. She enjoyed the sewing and quilting sessions held at the church. She and her family always enjoyed their big garden and flowers.
In addition to her parents, Clarice was preceded in death by four sisters, Hetty Goedert, Susie Zimmerman, Ella Green and Mickey Newtson; one brother, Bob Stevenson; one son Dan Rosentrater and one grandson, Troy Rosentrater.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin; one daughter Margie and husband Jim Holm of Sutherland; three sons, Jerry and wife Deb of rural Elsie, Don and wife Dianne of Ritzville, Wash., and Rick Rosentrater; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Shimmin of Tryon, Neb., and June Powers of North Platte; other relatives and friends.
JESSIE
This would probably be the June that married Gus Powers.
Lawence "Gus" Powers 1915-2008 married June Stevenson in 1954 and is buried in Lincoln County # 33295789.
BETTY JEAN
Jean probably married Al Shimmin, and a son might be the one with stones in both Tryon # 137258248 and Fort McPherson # 75197369.
