December 1905 Yuma "Mr. Leland has just completed in a most artistic manner the extension of the stone philasters to the cornice on the bank and post office block.
When the building was erected the pilasters were sent too short from Denver,
and it has added materially to the appearance of the building to remedy the defect at last,
by cutting out the brick work and inserting the stone in place."

March 5, 1913 Humboldt County, Iowa "Mr. William B. Leland, one of the oldest settlers in this county, breathed his last on Wednesday afternoon about one o'clock at his old home in this city.
Mr. Leland was born in the State of Vermont August 29th 1832. He came to Jackson County, Iowa, and on August 14th 1852 was united in marriage to Henrietta L. Parsons. In July, 1865, Mr. Leland removed his family to Humboldt where he lived up to the time of his death. Four children came to bless the home of whom three are still living. Lyman W. Leland of Boulder, Colo., Albert G. Leland of Humboldt and Wm. F. Leland of Kossuth County of this State.

January 31, 1948 Joplin, Missouri "Funeral services for Lyman W. Leland,
93 years old, who died early yesterday, will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock
this afternoon at the Parker-Hunsaker chapel by the Rev. Joseph Hickman.
Burial will be in Oxborne Memorial cemetery. The body will lie in state
at the chapel. Mr. Leland, a resident of Joplin five years,
died at 12:10 o'clock yesterday morning in St. John's hospital.
His home was at Forty-first and Wall streets."
This Lyman William Leland was born January 13, 1855 in Iowa to William Leland and Nettie Parsons, married, a resident of Joplin for 43 years. Informant was Mrs. Marie Teague of the same address, 4301 Main Street.
Jennie A. Leland, born June 27, 1869 in Texas County, Missouri, to H.J. Allen and Jennie Fronell, died in Vernon County, Missouri October 24, 1948, to be buried in Joplin.

LYMAN
Lyman W. "Jack" Leland of Palestine, Texas will be at 2 p.m.today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Vestal officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park Cemetery. Mr. Leland died Thursday morning (Apr. 4, 1990) at Memorial Hospital. He was born in Boulder, Colorado, in 1905, a son of Lyman William Leland and Jennie Allen Leland.
He's buried in Palestine # 39780905.
