James A. and Minnie (Harmon) Jordan

April 1915 "Mr. and Mrs. James Jordan arrived from Superior, Nebr., last Sunday, with the expectation of making their home in Yuma. Mr. Jordan is an experienced veterinary, and will have his office at the Star Livery Barn. At present Mrs. Jordan is visiting at the home of her brother, Roy Lasater, twenty miles south of Yuma."

1917 "Mrs. J. Jordan and children left for Shubert, Nebraska last Thursday to visit relatives and friends."
"Mrs. J. J. Jordan and children, who had been visiting with relatives and friedns in Nebraska for a few weeks, returned to Yuma on the noon train last Friday."

Velma Wauneta Hildebrand was born at Yuma January 21, 1916 to James E. Jordan and Minnie E. Harmon, dying January 15, 1997 in Los Angeles County.

James is buried in Hardy, # 42554815, on the same stone asCharles W. 1876-1939.

In 1920 Yuma, Minnie is widowed, 35, born in Nebraska, with Vera 15 Missouri, Opal M. 14 Nebraska, Charley E. 12 Nebraska, Donald Albert 10 Nebraska, Veda Marie 8, Nebraska, Velma J. 3 Colorado, and James E. eight months Colorado.

In February 1920, Miss Vera Jordan took over duties at the Yuma telephone exchange from Miss Etta Bradley.

July 1920 "Mrs. M.V. Jordan went up to Denver Friday of last week fo a few days visit with her parents."
(This is likely Merle V. Jordan, Yuma electrician, who moved to Fleming in 1922.)

In 1930 Los Angeles, Aubrey 27 and Vera 26 have Gene H. . Donald A. 20 and Veda M. 18 are living with them.
