Anton Janssen
Anton cash-claimed a quarter in 22, 3N 48W in 1890, near a number of other 1890-1891 cash claimants.
He had a record of a timber claim in that township, but it wasn't completed.
He might be the 1885 Marshall County, Anton is a merchant, 28, with Christina 26.
One tree said he was the son of Johann Friedrich Anton Otto Jansen 1826-1880, marrying Christina Imholt, and dying Feb 6, 1906 in Nobles COunty.
Antony Jansen in 1900 Marshall County, Iowa, born April 1856 in Iowa, a carpenter (quite a few of the other cash claimants were carpenters), married 15 years to Catharina Jul 1857 ILlinois. Katie 15, Maggie 13, Matilda 8, Frederick 7, Agnes 3 and Herman one month were born in Iowa.
Anton 1856-1906 and Christine 1858-1933 are buried in Nobles County, Minnesota # 73424008 and #73427009.
In 1940 Anton Janssen was one of the defendants in a suit by the UB Church of Yuma. Other defendants were A.J. Seaman, Robert L. Sheverbush - county treasurer - and the Presbyterian church of Yuma regarding title to a lot in Yuma.
