John A. and Edna (Thompson) Herron
In 1880 Lee County, Iowa, John Herron is 14, with David and Paulina, both 43. Levi is 19, Ella 17, Anna 11, Charles 7, and son B. 6.
David is buried in Lee County 1834-1912 # 149316100, Pauline 1836-1901 # 149316137.
In 1900 Smith County, Kansas, John Herron is farming, born February 1866 , married six years to Edna Jan 1874, both in Iowa, have Rosaltha O. July 1895, Kansas.
In 1907 Jno. A. Herron had letters remaining in the Yuma post office.
April 1908 "Mrs. Thompson of Smith Center, Kansas, is out on a visit with her daughter,
Mrs. Herron. She is much pleased with Western Yuma county and may invest."

In 1910 Yuma County, John is 44, Edna 36, with one child still living. Pauline is 14.
John proved up a quarter in 29, 3N 48W in 1912.
March 1915 "For Sale—Thirty tons of fine cane feed. Phone 178, or see John Herron."
July 1915 "In the presence of relatives and some thirty invited friends,
Miss Rosaltha Pauline Herron and Mr. Evan Carl Schmidt, of Salt Lake City, Utah,
were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at 8 oclock Sunday evening, June 27th, at the home
of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Herron, four miles northwest of Yuma, Rev. W.L. Breckenridge,
pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Mrs. Nelson S. Gashaw played the wedding march.
The only out-of-town guests present were Mrs. Louisa Gueswel, the aged grandmother of the groom,
who, in spite of her 81 years, traveled hundreds of miles in order to attend the nuptials,
and Roy Paris, of Wray. Many valuable and handsome presents were received by the contracting
parties. A sumptuous repast was served at the close of the ceremony. The Pioneer joins with
their host of other friends in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt a long, happy and prosperous
journey together along life's pathway."

John and Edna are in Florence, Colorado in 1920, with no occupation. With them are Evan and Rosaltha Schmidt, with John C. 3 and Loma L. 2, both born in COlorado. Evan is 27, a stillman at an oil refinery.
They're with the Schmidts in 1930, too. They've added four more kids.
In 1940 Florence, Evan is a coal miner 47, Pauline 45, Carl 24 is a clek, Dorothy 20 a waitress, Theesa 18, Royal 16, Marie 12, WSanda 10, Maxine 6, and CArolyn 3. Leslie Thompson, Pauline's cousin, is with them, 26, bron in Kansas.
John Andrew Jackson Herron 1866-1949 is buried in Canon City # 100358096, with Edna (Thompson) Herron 1874-1961.
Rosaltha 1895-1979 is also buired there, with Evean 1893-1968.
