Ernest L. Diffenderfer
In 1880 Union County, Pennsylvania, Ernest is 14, with farming parents G. Wash. Diffenderfer and Caroline, both 38. Graham is 10, Laura M.7, and Elizabeth G. 5. There's a William Diffenderver and Margaret both 46 on the same page, with a W. H. Dieffenderfer 20 a hired man on the same census page, workin gfor the Eisenhower family.
Ernest cash-claimed a quarter in 7, 3N 48W in 1891, near many other cash claims of 1890-1891.
He's likely the Ernest S. Diffenderfer, age 37, marrying Elizabeth J. Thompson in Salt Lake City June 3, 1903.
In 1920 Stockton, California, Ernest is a carpenter, 52, Elizabeth 54 - she was born in Ireland, immigrating 1869. George 15, Clarence 14, and Caroline 11 were born in Utah.
Elizabeth died December 25, 1934 in San Joaquin County, Clifronia.
She was to be buried in Pakview Cemetery. Ernest was the informant, living at 430 E. montery, Stockton. She was born October 11, 1868.
Ernest is widowed in 1940 Stockton, living alone.
Ernest Linwood Diffenderfer, son of George Washington Diffenderfer and "Naglo", died August 26, 1955 in Stockton, age 89.
He was to be cremated by Park View Crematory. Informant was C.L. Diffenderfer.
Clarence Linwood Diffenderfer, age 28, a salesman, married Evelyn Ella Jones 26, a stenographer, daughter of George W. Jones and Margaret Nelson of Wyoming, in Stockton May 5, 1934. George K. Diffenderfer was a witness.
Clarence is buried in Stockton 1984 
Evelyn died Sept 10, 1990 in San Joaquin County, born November 18, 1907.
Caroline Elizabeth (Diffenderfer) Babb 1908-1986 is buried in Tehama County # 8527970.
