John and Catherine (Lentz) Bruck
John timber-claimed a quarter in 9, 3N 48W in 1896.
It's possible that he never lived in Yuma County.
In 1900 Lasalle County, Illinois, John Bruck is a saloon keeper, born Mar 1843 in Germany, married 12 years to Katherine Nov 1848 Germany. Anna M. December 1891 and John November 1894 were born in Illinois.
John made a will in 1908 leaving all his property to wife Katherine Bruck.
May 1909 the Pittsburgh, Kansas newspaper reported on a storm "The roof upon the Curlton Horse and Mule barn at Lamar owned by John Bruck was of tin and it was pierced full of holes."
John's will was probated in Barton County, Missouri in February 1910.
He's buried in Barton County 1843-1910 # 33758441, with Catherine (Lentz) Bruck 1848-1929.
In 1910 Lamar, Missouri, Catherine is widowed, 61. She's had four kids, two living. Anna is 19, John 16.
August 9, 1912 "For Sale—Southeast quarter section 30, township 3 north, range 48 west, seven miles northeast of Yuma. Price $12.50 per acre. —Mrs. John Bruck, Lamar, Mo."
November 27, 1914 "A. Bruck left Wednesday for his home at Lusk, Wyoming, after a short visit at his farm north of Yuma."
Catherine died September 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri, born in France, daughter of Michael Lentz and Anna Trog. Informant was Mrs. Arthur E. Nohden of the same address, 4333 Flora.
This was Anna Margaret Nohden, dying December 30, 1964 in Kansas City, at the same address. She was born at Streator, Illinois December 24, 1890. Burial was to be at Green Lawn in Kansas City, # 160747396.
John Fred Bruck, 1893-1970 is buried in Leavenworth # 3652204, a private in M. 64th Infantry, 7th Division.
