Henry H. Bowers
Henry cash-claimed a quarter in 19, 3N 48W in 1890, near a number of other 1890-1891 cash claimants.
He timber-claimed a quarter in 6N 49W (Logan County, Colorado) in 1895. - about fifteen miles northwest.
1883 Atchison, Kansas "It is believed that old Henry Bowers, of Falls City, Nebraska, is the first man who ever spoke the word "Democracy." Nobody knows how old old Mr. Bowers is. The oldest inhabitant of that town says that when he settled there as a young man, old Mr. Bowers was then the oldest man he had ever seen, and that as he has not "aged" much since, he is inclined to believe that old Mr. Bowers lived with the mummies, and that he somehow escaped death when they wore overcome."
Henry timber-claimed a quarter in 33, 6N 49W in 1895.
Probably the Henry H. Bowers that FindAGrave has buried in Silver Creek cemetery, Richardson , County, Nebraska 45155790, born Feb 15, 1832- dying Jan 12, 1900.
This Henry was the first Quartermaster of the G.A.R. Post #84 in Falls City, Nebraska January 19, 1882.
ANOTHER : Kearney, Nebraska August 10, 1895 "A marriage license was issued today to Henry H. Bowers of Riverton and Miss Ida A. Cook of Amherst. They will be wedded tomorrow at Amherst."
(Ida A. Cook was in Dixon County Nebraska in 1880, born about 1877, daughter of Ben O. and Angeline E. Cook. There's an Ida A. Bower -1877-1965 buried in Grant, Franklin County, Nebraska)
Myrtle Bowers (Mrs. Jerome Kiefer) graduated in 1895 from Falls City.
Yuma 1909 "E. L. and Myrtle Bowers of Fall City, Neb.,
were looking over our farm lands Wednesday."
Octobe 1899 McCook "Fireman Henry Bower and Jane Hill were united in marriage by H.H. Berry."
1900 McCook, Nebraska "A son was born this week to Fireman and Mrs. Henry Bowes - (Raliroad items)
Also in 1900 - Jane N. Bowers vs. Henry Bowers - Burlington railway company ordered to pay $100 to defendandant for benefit of plaintiff. Defendant ordered to pay $15 pe month alimonny.
