Louis C. Banker
Possibly the "Lewis" banker in 1870 Fond Du Lac County, Wisconsin, 12, wit parents Albert 43 and Jane 35. Eugenia is 15, John 13, Willard 9, James 7, Chalotte 4,a nd Edwin 2.
(so they probably knew the Weisgerber girls..)
Louis cash-claimed a quarter in 1, 3N 48W in 1891, next to Isaac Munyon.
Louis had a record of a timber claim in 4N 46W, but it wasn't completed.
In 1900 Russell County, Kansas, Louis is a merchant, born May 1858 in Canada, married nine years to Anna M. Jan 1867 Ohio. Frances May 189, Louis W. June 1893, adn Sean May 1895 were born in Kansas.
"Originally known as Giddings, Banker Co, a partnership between Lou Banker and R.S. Giddings. In 1881 Lou Banker started off on the long road in the clothing business when he and R. S. Giddings formed the Giddings, Banker and Co. Lou Banker was one of the leading citizens here and was liked by everyone for his fairness and generosity. Lou's brother James, also played a role in the developement. He was with the firm from 1890 until his death in 1937. "
In 1910 Louis is running a depatment store, 51, Anna 43, Francis 18, Waldo 16, Dean 14, and Thelma 5.
Louis is buried in Russell 1858-1932, # 85215722, with both parents and most of his siblings.
His brother James was in Russsell in 1900, married and is buried in Russell 1863-1937, with an onate tomstone.
