In 1885 Saline County, Nebraska, William is 5, and his mother Mary M., 25 is married to F. M. T. Ridpath 36. They have Annie Ridpath, 2.
Mary Matilda (Kassing) (Gabel) Ridpath 1860-1933 is buried in Saline County # 100061358.
Francis cash-claimed a quarter in section 27, 2N 47W in 1891.
In 1900 Saline County, Francis Ridpath is farming, born Sept 1848 in Iowa,
with Mary M. May 1850 in Iowa. Her father was born in
Germany, mother in Indiana. Anna April 1883 and Mike 1886
were born in Nebraska, Pat July 1888 in Colorado,
Elsie March 1892, Alpha M. October 1895 and Dewey H.
May 1898 were born in Nebraska.
William A. Gable born February 1880 in Iowa is a farm laborer.
January 1914 "Wm. Ridpath and family arrived from Friend,
Nebraska, the first of the week with their household goods
and farming implements. At present thoy are living in Matt Harr's
house north of the primary school building.
In the spring the family will move out to their
recently acquired homestead, 18 miles southwest of Yuma."
September 1914 Wray "Mrs. Jane Metcalf and Mrs. A. L. Wilson
and son, who had been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Ridpath,
twenty miles southwest of Yuma,
for a few days, left Tuesday for their home at Weston, Nebraska."
December 1914 "Mrs. Eva Ridpath, of twenty miles southwest of Yuma,
left last Friday evening to visit relatives at Deweese and
Weston, Nebraska."

In 1910 Saline County, Nebraska, McKinley Ridpath is 14, with mother Mary 49. Pat is 2q1 Elsie 18, Hobart 11, and Inez 9.
August 1915 "Mrs. M. Ridpath and little girl left
Saturday evening for Crete, Nebr., to visit relatives and
friends."
1919 Wray "A. M. Ridpath bought the shoe and
harness shop of his brother, M. Ridpath. The new proprietor has
been living on a farm near Eckley. The building now used by
M. Ridpath as a cream station will be occupied by the repair
shop, while the cream station and poultry business will be
located in the building now used by the repair shop."
In 1920 Alpha is living on Weld Avenue in Yuma, a day laborer, 24, with Opal 29 born in Kansas. Earl 2 was born inNebraska, Evelyn May six months in Colorado.
In 1930 Alpha is a farm hand in Red Willow County, Nebraska, 34, with Opal N. 39, Earl D. 12, Evelyn M. 10, Jenevieve R. 8 in Colorado, and Lillian F. i1 in Nebraska.
Alpha McKinley Ridpath 1895-1987 is buried in McCook # 15551887, with Opal Neoma 1890-1951 # 15551877.
Lillian Frances (Ridpath) Iverson 1928-2005 is buried in Wamic, Oregon, with Bernard Laverne Iverson 1923-2012.

1918 Yuma Colorado "Mrs. Rua Gable, of Weston, Nebraska, is a guest at the home of her brother, M. Ridpath, in this city."

Mike Ridpath is a cobbler in 1920 Yuma, 33, with Laura 34, Mary 7, Paul 2, and adopted son Hugh Ridpath 14.
Mike and Laura Ridpath divorced in Yuma County August 20, 1920,
Yuma 1921.
Laura married Clyde A. Varner on June 15, 1922 in Wray.
"C. A. Varner of Yuma and Mrs. Laura Ridpath of Yuma were
united in marriage by Judge Barker at Wray last Thursday."
MIKE'S SECOND WIFE
In 1900 Davenport, Thayer County, Nebraska, Charles Selby has no occupation, born Dec 1863 married 17 years to mattie July 1863, both born in Illinois. Gertrude July 1885, and
Bertha M. Dec 1884, were born in Nebraska.
Bertha May Selby, age 22, born in Nebraska to C.E. and Mattie Selby, married Jason O. Lobb on April 16, 1906 in Hastings, Nebraska.
James Selby Ridpath was born Nov 12, 1921 in Haxtun to Mike Ridpath and May Selby, dying June 14, 2005.

FindaGrave # 59792140 says May (Selby) Ridpath 1884-1924 was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Selby of Davenport, according to the Nelson, Nebraska Gazette. May was the niece of
Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Ruble of Nelson.
In 1930 Saline County, Nebraska, Mike is 42 "managing a household", with James 8 and Olive L. 6, both born in Colorado.
October 10, 1956, Lincoln, Nebraska "Funeral services for
Mrs. Nellie M. Ridpath, 50, of 640 No. 27th, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at
Urnbergers. The Rev. Raymond Alber will officiate.
Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. Mrs. Ridpath died Tuesday.
Born in Lincoln, she had lived here all her life.
She had been employed by the Nebraska Salesbock Co.,
for eight years, and was a member of the East Lincoln Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Mike Ridpath; sons, Donald E. Bykerk of Lincoln
and Lee W. Bykerk of Ft. Collins, Colo.;
stepson, James S. Ridpath of Philadelphia, Pa.;
stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucile Hotchkiss of Lincoln;
sister, Mrs. Merlin Maxwell of Lincoln; brother, Floyd Grant of Denver;
and eight grandchildren."
Robert Hotchkiss, 47, married Yvonne Champoux on September 30, 1968 in Yankton, South Dakota.
Robert died in Lincoln in August 1986 - one tree said "divorced after marriage of Shirley and Dennis"

"Mike M. Ridpath, 90 of Lincoln died Sunday, February 22, 1976.
Pallbearers: Clayton Champoux, John D. Ellis, Carl Taylor, Dennis and Robert Hotchkiss, Clyde B. Blevins.
Born at Western, he at one time owned a restaurant in Western, and also farmed near Tobias. He was a former Colorado homesteader and had lived in Lincoln 46 years, where he had been a shoe repairman.
Survivors include a son, James; step-son Lee ByKerk; sisters, Elsie Garrett and Inez Yates; brothers, Hobart and Nick; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday morning, February 28, in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment was at Lincoln Memorial park."
In 1930 Phillips County, Montana, Laura Varner is 49, born in Missouri, with Mary 18 born in Nebraska, and Paul J. 12 in Colorado.
She's buried in Hayes County, Nebraska 1882-1958 # 75930151.
1941 Lincoln, Nebraska

Olive Lucille Ridpath married Robert Hotchkiss, and died, per one tree, in Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1968.
August 14, 1968 " A Lincoln woman, Mrs. Robert M. (Olive Lucille) Hotchkiss, 44 of 1239 Mulder Drive, was killed Monday in Wauwatosa, Wis., when she was struck by a Milwaukee Road passenger train.
Mrs. Hotchkiss, a pedestrian, was dragged 140 feet by the train,
according to officials. They said the crossing was guarded by
warning lights and automobile traffic gate. Survivors include her husband;
son, Dennis W. with the U.S. Air Force in Anchorage, Alaska;
father, Mike Ridpath of Lincoln, and brother, James S. Ridpath of Philadelphia,
Pa.."
Paul J. Varner 1917-1985 is buried in Alamogordo, N.M. # 77136847.
Mary Hahn, 1912-1997 is buried in Hayes County, Nebraska, # 81353381, with Glen O. Hahn. She was the daughter of Mike M. Ridpath and Laura Leon Feields 1882-1958.
1926 "Simeon Ridpath, who had been visiting with his son Charles, east of Yuma, for about a month, returned to his home in Cambridge, Nebraska."
