Ray C. Mullison, Norma O. Mullison

Ray proved up 320 acres in section 35,
3 North 44 West, 120 acres in 1912, and 200 acres in 1916.
May 22, 1913 "Ray Mullison one of the prominent
young farmers living on a homestead several miles
northwest of Wray has just completed a new house on
his place. It is one of the finest houses built on
a homestead in this county. Mr. Mullison has had
a boy cooking for him during the work on the
house but the farmers in that locality think he
will lose his job soon."
June 12, 1913 "A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Nelson north of town Tuesday when their daughter. Miss Grace, was given in
marriage to Mr. Ray C. Mullison, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Mullison,
also north of town. The ceremony was performed at high noon by Rev. C. L. Harrington,
pastor of the Vernon Methodist church, in the presence of forty guests.
Mendelsohns wedding march was played by the bride's sister, Miss Irene,
while the bride and groom took their places underneath a wedding bell which was
suspended from the center of an arch, attended by Miss Veda Ramsey of Wray as
Bridesmaid and Ross Clem as best man. The bride was beautifully attired in a dress
of brussels net over white silk and carried a shower bouquet of brides roses
and the bridegroom wore the usual black. Tbe house decorations being in green and
white.
Immediately after the ceremony all sat down to a
bountiful wedding dinner which was served in five courses by the Misses Alma Ambler, Flora Lowman,
and Irene Nelson with the bridal party at one table and the guests at the other.
The many presents received were beautiful and useful, some being sent them from
relatives and friends in the east.
The happy couple departed for Denver the same evening where they will enjoy a short
honeymoon and will be at home to their friends after July 1st on a farm seven miles
north of town where the bridegroom has a new modern eight room house in readiness
for his bride.
Mr. Mullison has lived in Yuma county the past thirteen years and his
wife five years, the latter having been a student in the county high school
at one time. Both come from very fine families and are estimable young people
who have won many friends in this community who are anxious to extend
congratulations and wish them God-speed on this their new journey through life."
June 19, 1913 "Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mullison
returned Tuesday from a trip to Denver and
the mountains."
Mrs. Grace Mullison is on the sick list.
Ray C. Mullison 1883-1958 and Grace 1893-1977 # 81598104 are buried in Wray.
January 1914
"T. L. Mullison finished up his threshing last week.
Mrs. T. L. Mullison is visiting relatives and friends
at Oberlin,
Kansas.
