One group sheet says Elias Amos Reasoner, born July 3, 1854 in Henry County, Indiana, married Mary Elizabeth Yocum on February 6, 1875.
In 1885 Madison County, Iowa, Elias A. Reasoner is 30, Mary E. 32, with Margaret A. 9, Emily J. 5, and "Lota" M. 1.
Mary E. Reasoner 1852-1894 is buried in Walnut Grove cemetery, Story County.
In 1895 Story County, Iowa, "Chas. A. Reasoner" is 40, widowed, born in Indiana, Emma J. 15 born in Kanss, Lola M. 12 born in Polk County, Iowa, John C. 5 in Story County and Orra F. 3 in Story County.
Emma Reasoner married Nels A. Sydness in Story County on July 24, 1898.
Elias is widowed in 1905 Emmet County, Iowa. He was with son John in 1930 Cheyenne County, Kansas, and is buried in Cheyenne County 1854-1940 # 126393173.
One sister of Elias was Rachel Emily Reasoner born about 1856 in Iowa, marrying John D. Nelson in 1873.
A brother was George Mayhew Reasoner born about 1868.
In 1900 Emmet County, Iowa, Nicholas Mitchell born May 1877 in Kansas - probably in error - is a farm laborer, boarding for the J. R. Reasoner family. J.M. is 28, Alice M. 19, Edith 4 and Casper 1. Next household is J.R> Reasoner 70 and Margaret 63.
"John Rollins REASONER was born 25 Feb 1830 in Guernsey Co., Ohio,
and died 9 Dec 1910 in Armstrong, Emmet Co., Iowa.
He married Margaret Jane LEAKEY 16 May 1853 in Henry Co., Indiana,
daughter of Levi LEAKEY and Ruth or Rachel ELLIOT.
She was born 16 Apr 1837 in Henry Co., Indiana, and died 1 Aug 1918 in Armstrong, Emmet Co., Iowa."
Leotta was a servant in the Henry and Sophia Ramsdell family in 1900 Emmet County, born February 1883 in Iowa.
Nicholas Mitchell, son of Henry Mitchell and Emeline Shaw, married Lota M. Reasoner in Estherville, Emmet County Iowa on December 24, 1901.
She was 19, the daughter of Elias Reasoner and Mary "Guncomb".
In 1910 Yuma County, Nicholas is farming, 32, with Leola M. 27, both born
in Iowa. Floyd E. 7 and Evaline 2. All the kids were born in Pennsylvania, except Emma in Iowa.
Nicholas proved up 320 acres in section 11, 3 North 44 West, in 1916. Claimant names as witnesses: Clarence Douglas, Frank Carson, Charles Lincoln, Alpha Schwintz, all of Wray, Colorado.

On June 3, 1841, Emaline Show was born in Fayette County, Pa. In early life she moved with her family to Filmore county, Ia. Here they lived until 1882 when they came to Nebraska to make their home near McCook where she lived until her death. She was married in 1859 to Henry H. (Howard) Mitchell whose death occurred on October 1, 1914. She was the mother of twelve children of whom five preceded her in death. In her youth she was converted and united with the Methodist church, but later transferred her membership to the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Mitchell was sick for about seven years, but did not take to her bed until about five or six weeks ago. On Thursday, June 28th, she suffered another stroke of paralysis from the effects of which she never recovered. She passed to eternity on Tuesday afternoon, July 3, 1917. She leaves four sons, three daughters, 28 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.

The funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the country home of the youngest son of the deceased, Mr. Nicholas Mitchell, conducted by the Rev. H. C. Seidel, the ladies of the church choir furnishing the music. Interment was in Riverview cemetery.
They're in Red Willow County, Nebraska in 1920, Nicholas 42, Leota 37, Lloyd 17, and Anna 12.
In 1930 they're on Ninth Street in McCook, with Floyd C. 27. And they're still there in 1940.
Algona, Iowa 1956 "Mr. and Mrs. George Eggleston visited on Wednesday and
Thursday a: Rue-hosier with her cousin Mrs Emma Sydnes. Mrs. Leota Mitchell, McCook, Nebraska,
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy K.:mler. of Wichita, Kansas, were also guests.
Mrs. Sydnes, Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Eggleston are cousins. It has been 60 years
since Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Eggleston had seen each other."
Nicholas 1877-1947 is buried in McCook # 40739142,
with Leota 1883-1971 # 40739217.
