April 15, 1910 "John Mock and wife of Albin, Iowa, and Lee VanDoran of Moravia, Iowa, arrived Tuesday morning and went out to the home of Mrs. Mock's brother, Wm. Ford. Mr. Mock filed on a homestead and Mr. Van Doran will look over this country for a location."

Lewie N. Van Dorin is 27 in 1910 Monroe County, Iowa, a coal miner. He's married to Mary A. Van Dorin 22, with son Harry E. Mary would be William Ford's and Sarah Mock's niece.

November 1911 Wray "John Mock, a carpenter of several miles northwest of Wray was arrested here last Saturday night for drunkeness and disturbance. He was fined $3.00 and costs."

April 1913 "John Mock has been putting in the week at the Kugler Ranch painting up the buildings and fixing up in general."

May 1913 "John Mock is in Haxtun this week painting some houses there."

March 1914 "John Mock has gonn back to Haxtun to work."

February 1915 "John Mock was down from Haxtun visiting home folks last week."

February 10, 1911 "John Mock and Billy Ford are shelling corn in the weatherfield neighboor-hood this week."

February 17, 1911 "Billy Ford took dinner with Ed Brown last Sunday.
Mrs. Hampton visited with Mrs. Mock, Monday."

November 2, 1916 "William Ford was badly bruised in a mishap with a runaway team the other day."

January 11, 1917 "John Mock of the vicinity of twenty miles north of town, returned Tuesday from Haxtun where he had been called by the death of a sister-in-law."
(This is Emma A. (Bullington) Mock 1866-1917 buried in Haxtun # 58495739, with George Riley Mock 1860-1936 # 58567258.

November 1, 1917 "John Mock and William Ford, returned from a trip down into different points in Oklahoma and New Mexico where they had gone two weeks before to look over the country with a view of locating. They did not come to any decision, but have decided to remain in Wray for the winter and make another observation trip in the spring."

William proved up two quarters in section 32, 3 North 44 West, in 1917.
"Witnesses: William J. Walsh, John Mock, Daniel B. Boeock, Stephen O. Rowan , all of Wray, Colorado."

March 20, 1919 "John Mock of Wray motored tho latter part of the week to Haxtun to get his carpenter tools that had been there since the heavy snows. He reports the roads in bad shape and also a number of cases of flu raging in that little city."

William's will left all his property to Sarah Mock.

In 1920 John 56 and Sarah 53, no occupations, are in Wray.

1921 Monroe County Iowa
Sarah Barbara (Ford) Mock 1857-1941 is buried in Wray # 81596809.

John is doing odd jobs in Wray, he and Sarah living on Franklin Street.

June 1931 John Mock was charged $100 and costs on a charge of bootlegging, and was remandeded to the county jail until the fine is paid.

John and Sarah are in Wray in 1940, living on Franklin Street, no occupations.
John Jackson Mock 1862-1941 is buried in Wray # 81596781.
