" Emma Eliza Burgess, was born about 1839 in New York. She married a man named Bailey, which name she had in 1868 when she received $300 as her portion of the estate of her father. "

SSDI has him born in Owosso, Michigan to Abraham Bailey and Emma Burgess. Wilbert's
census records say both Abram and Emma were born in New York.
Wilbert cash-claimed a quarter in section 14, 3 North 44 West, in 1891, adjoining John Hiett's claim also in 1891.

in Michigan, with Francis March 1869 Virginia. Maud was born May 1888 in Colorado,
Laura was born June 1889 in Nebraska,
Percy May 1891, and Earl August 1896.
In 1910 Omaha, "William N." Bailey is 44, married 23 years to Mary S 42, Virginia, with Charles 20, Percy 14, Earl 13, all born in Nebraska, two srvants, and dozens more in the Bailey Hotel.
Fannie died May 26, 1921 in Los Angeles.
She's buried in Glendale as Ruth F. Bailey 2869-1921 # 129771890.
Wilbert is widowed in 1930 Los Angeles, no occupation, 65. Percy L. is 38, divorced, an artist, Earl 33 is a pressman.
Maud Lois James was a witness at the marriage of Frances Eloise James 19, and William John Dart Jr., 33 in Los Angeles on Febraury 15, 1933.
Frances was born in California to Arthur Jesse James and Maud Bailey.
In 1940 Los Angeles, Wilbert is 75, Earl 43 a commercial artist, and divorced Minnie O. Walker, 8 born in Germany is with them.

Maude James is divorced in 1940 Los Angeles, 51, with daughter Frances Dart 26 and her husband William Dart 40.
Maud Lois James, born May 12, 1888 in Colorado, died March 1, 1982 in Los Angeles.
Hoskins, Oregon March 24, 1956
"John W. Brannon, a resident of the Hoskins community for the past 12 years,
passed away at the family home yesterday morning following a brief illness.
The son of B. T. and Elizabeth Brannon, he was born on January 27, 1875
in West Virginia, where he lived with his parents until 1896 when he came to Oregon
and settled at Ashland. He was married to Rosa E. Scadden in 1902 at Jacksonville. They moved to southern California where they lived until 1944 when they returned to Oregon and made their home in Hoskins. He was a member of the Christian Science church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, William A. Brannon of Wren; a daughter. Mrs. Harold Olds of Hoskins, three grandsons and one great grandson. Funeral services will be conducted by the First Reader of the local Christian Science church in the chapel of the McHenry Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. Concluding services will be held at the Oaklawn Memorial Park."

William H. Bailey, age 50, son of Jos Bailey and C. Moore, married in Owosso, Michigan in 1895.
"Harrison" born Feb 17, 1843 in New York, died in Owosso March 20, 1930.
Marenus Bailey, born in New York, died in Owosso, Michigan March 3, 1898. Age 60 yrs, 9 months 23 days.
He was the son of Joseph Bailey and "Chlorella" Cooper, to be buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
He had married Mary Ann Burgess, Emma's sister.
She was born on 2 May 1840 in Monroe County, New York, near Brockport.
As a young girl, she came to Michigan with her parents and grew up on the
family farm in Rush Township of Shiawassee County, just north of Owosso.
On 19 August 1860, Mary married Marenus Bailey in Owosso, Michigan.
WILBERT'S MOTHER EMMA
"William Burgess was born in the village of Blithfield, in Staffordshire, England and christened in the parish church there on 3 November 1811. According to the age given in his death record
, William was born 10 August 1810. He accompanied his parents to the United States as a young man, where he married and settled in Monroe County, New York near Brockport for several years before continuing on to Michigan. William Burgess4 married Nancy Ship (or Shipp) in the township of Bergen, in Genesee County, New York on 27 November 1836."
"William Burgess, who was a farmer all his life, appears in a few other records in Shiawassee County. He was Highway Commissioner for Rush Township for the years 1853, 1856, 1858 and 1863. William4 was also a constable in 1853. On 11 October 1859, William Burgess4 renounced his citizenship of Great Britain, the first step in becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States. William Burgess4 died of pneumonia on 30 October 1867 and was buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery not far from his farm. :

In 1900 Jackson County, Oregon, Elizabeth Brannon is widowed, born August 1839 in Virginia. She's had 14 kids, eight living.
John W. is 25, born in Virginia, Henry H. 16 born in Nebraska.
