Charles L. Rath, Laird
1913 "C.W. Rath was over from St. Francis the latter part of last week" (Wray)
1913 "Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rath and two children moved in from their homestead about twelve miles north of Wray the first of the week and are occupying a residence in the southwest part of town."
1914 Alvin news "Charley Rath and Grandpa Basque were transacting business in Wray Saturday."
Charles proved up two quarters in 4, 3N 43W in 1916. In 1916 he was a witness for neighbor Edward F. Bascus's claim.
February 1916 "FOR SALE OR TRADE - Kentucky Mammoth Jack, for stock, automobile or flying machine. C.L. Rath, Wray, Colo."
Charles Lee Rath registered in Poweshiek County, Iowa, saying he was born June 19, 1882, and his nearest relative was Mrs. May Alice Rath.
He must be the Charles L Rath in 1920 Poweshiek County, Iowa, 36, with Alice M. 31, both born in Missouri. They have Robert A. L. 10, Nebraska, Mabel V. 8, Colorado, Hazel L. 5, Colorado, Charles C. 3 Colorado, and Edith E. 1, Iowa.
Charles 1882-1972 and Alice May (Bachman) 1888-1964 Rath are buried in Montezuma, Iowa.
