Charlie F. Bascue, 79, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1988. He was born in Republican City, Neb. He moved in Silverton in 1934 and to Woodburn in 1977. He was a psychiatric aide at the state hospital. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his daughter Deloris Jones of Salem; brothers Forest of Salem, David of Anchorage, Alaska, Carl of Empire, Calif. and Wayne of Benkelman, Neb.; sisters Ruth Kirk and Darlene Helekson, both of Salem, and Eva Dahl of Gladstone; three grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
