Jay went to Denver after he left school and married Nellie Sears. They had five children."
Dorothy Hull was born August 20, 1928, went to school at the Vandercoy school
in Kit Carson County. Dorothy worked in Denver for a while and then married
Ralph Trofler."

Johnnie R. Kirk married Esther M. Flageolle on July 23, 1912 in Kit Carson County.
January 13, 1916 "Mr. Thomas Kirk, who was residing
with his son, Jno. Kirk, on the Ed McCole ranch southeast
of Mildred, died on Thursday of last week,
death resulting from paralysis. Mr. Kirk was born in
Delaware, Iowa, on December 10th 1851, being sixty-five
years of age. He had just returned a few days prior to
his death from a trip to Nebraska, where he and his
wife had been visiting a daughter. The funeral was held
at Vernon on Friday, Rev. White preaching the sermon,
interment was at Glendale cemetery." # 81819826.

Elbert County 1901 one possible "Miss Blanche King, of Denver, is the guest of
her aunt, Mrs. Lundy. "
1904 "Mr. and Mrs. H.W. King, the former a
brother of Mrs. J. H. Lundy, visited at the Lundy home several
days and left Tuesday for their home at Seattle, Wash.
They came direct from St. Louis, where they visited
the exposition after having visited all of Mr. King’s
brothers and sisters residing in Iowa and Illinois."
One post said "Blanche Smith b. 28 Jul 1890, Wyo, married March 8, 1906 in Denver,
Colorado, Bert Trofler. Blanche died 5 Jun 1914, Denver,
Colo, buried: Block 11 lot 198, Riverside Cemetery, Denver, Colo,
1 child. suicide by bi-chloride of mercury poisoning; death
certificate #4761; In Colorado 21 years; buried in Block 11 lot 198
Sec 4, no marker."
B.L. Trofler married Hettie Reckling on Dec 1, 1911, recorded in Arapahoe County, Colorado.
June 12, 1914 "Mrs. Blanche Trofler, known as Hazel King, 23 years old, Denver,
who swallowed nine bichloride of mercury tablets in the bathroom of the matron's
quarters of the city jail; May 19, declaring she would rather die than serve a
sentence, died at the county hospital."
Bert Leroy Trofler registered for WWI with an Agate Colorado address, born Nov 10, 1883, farming, spouse Hetty Trofler.

Lower Running Creek District
Bert Trofler Dies Suddenly: Bert Trofler, 42,
passed away Sunday night at the General Hospital, Denver,
after undergoing Friday what was thought to be a minor operation.
Mr. Trofler, a well known rancher of the Lower Running Creek district,
had not been feeling exactly bad, but went to Denver Friday for an examination.
It seems that after a thorough examination the doctors were unable to exactly
determine the nature of the case but knew that he was afflicted with stomach
trouble of some form. When operated on it was disclosed that he was suffering
with cancer of the stomach. He at first seemed to be recovering nicely but soon
after his condition took a turn for the worse and he passed away Sunday night.
Mr. Trofler leaves three motherless children aged 9, 11 and 12 years,
respectively, an aged mother who resided with him and a father who now resides
somewhere in Wisconsin. Burial was Tuesday in the local cemetery near the ranch
home. The Tribune joins the community in extending its sympathy to the
bereaved family and friends."
The children were Roy, Ralph and Dessie - the boys were in a Denver institution in 1930, Dessie 17 a servant in a Denver home.
