In 1900 Harrison County, Missouri, George Cain is farming, born Oct 1868, married eleven years to Sarah E. Dec 1869. Wiliam F. June 1889, Nettie W. Nov 1892, and John G. Feb 1895, all born in Missouri.
They're next to Lydia Cain, widowed, born March 1839 in Ohio.
In 1910 Yuma County, George M. is farming, 44, with Elizabeth 29, Frederick 21, Herman 15, Arthur 7.
Mack applied for two quarters in 17, 2S 47W in 1913, witnesses Parker Hamilton, Birdie R. Clayton, James E,. Helton, and Willie Foot.
With Fred in 1920 are George W. 53 and Sarah 50, Arthur 17 and John 25.
In 1950 "Mr. and Mrs. M.C. (Mac) Cain clebrated their 62nd wedding anniversay Sunday, September 10 at their home in Dener. Guests were Fred Cain, Mr. and Mrs. Art Cain,
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Cain and family of Eckley, Thurman Cain and two sons of Fort Collins, Mrs. Nettie Murrow, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Cain and Julie, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Shively and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Murrow, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Roberts and Vernon Kohlman.
1956 "Fred Cain and Art Cain went to Denver Saturday and spent Sunday and Fathers' Day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Cain."
In December 1953 Mr. and Mrs. Mac Cain of Denver were on Channel 4 television regarding their 65th wedding anniversary.

February 10, 1911 "A marriage license was issued Monday to Fred Cain and Mary Eastin,
and they were married in the afternoon by Judge Jennings."
September 5, 1912 "Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cain of Happyville had the misfortune of losing their little baby.
Burial took place in the Glendale cemetery last Saturday at two o clock."
"The little three months old infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cain of southwest of Wray was found dead
Friday morning having died of asphyxia during the night. Burial was made in the Glendale cemetery Saturday."
May 1914 "Fred Cain and family took dinner at the Enos Helton home Sunday."
October 1914 "Mr. Smith thrashed wheat for Fred Cain Monday. Mr. Cain has moved from Yuma onto his homestead again."
In 1916 Harry and Albert Waters and Henry Hastings were found guilty of grand
larceny, and sentenced to prison at Canon City. (separate charges - Harry
and Albert were convicted of butchering a 500-pound sow of Ed Wray).
August 1917 "W. L. Dunlap and family spent Sunday at Eckley with Fred Cain and family.
They also went to Eckley Tuesday and brought back Mrs. Birdie Clasen (probably Clayton) home with them.
She has been at Eckley visiting her sister, Mrs. Mack Cain, and other relatives."
Birdie Helton married R.L Clayton on January 5, 1912, recorded in Yuma County.
Birdie B. Clayton, formerly Birdie R. Helton, applied for two quarters in 22, 2S 47W in 191, witnesses Mack Cain, Parker Hamilton, William Foot, and James E. Helton.
Witnesses in Henry's case were Jennie B. Coby, J.R. Coby, J.W. Thomas, and
Fritz Cain. (Fritz Cain proved up land a few miles east in 1919)
Henry still had ownership of that land in 1920.
Fritz proved up a quarter in 18, 2S 46W in 1919.
Birdie B. Clayton (formerly Birdie B. Helton) proved up two quarters in 22, 2S 47W in 1917,

May 21, 1919 "Mrs. Fred Cain's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Easton, south of Happyville, visited Friday night with Mrs. Cain and family."
Nick Easton and wife visited over Sunday with Mr. Easton's sister, Mrs. Fred Cain, and family."
In 1920 William F. is a house carpenter, 31, with Mary 25. Melvin 7, Wayne 8, and Curtis 1.
With them are George W. 53 and Sarah 50, Arthur 17 and John 25.
In 1930 William F. is operating a service station in Eckley, 40, with Mary L. 33, Melburn E. 16, Wayne H. 14, Curtis N. 12, and Dorothy Mae 8.
William Frederick Cain 1889-1983 is buried in Eckley # 35477299,

July 23, 1987 "Graveside services were held July 2 at the Eckley cemetery for former Eckley resident, Curtis N. Cain,
69, of Aurora, who passed away June 28 at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Godsey) Cain of Aurora, two daughters, Julie Ededns and Christine McClinton, both of Aurora, a brother, Wayne Cain of Greeley, a sister, Dorothy Ambrose of Frot Collins and two granddaughters."
"Wayne H. "Sam" Cain, 76, of Greeley died Wednesday, July 31, 1991.
Sam was born on July 19, 1915 in Yuma to Fred and Mary Lettie (Eastin) Cain. The family moved to Eckley when Sam was young and he attended school in Eckley.
On April 1, 1936 he was united in marriage to Lowetta Neuschwanger.
He was the manager of the Eckley Telephone Company for five years and also managed the Christo Grain Company for five years. He farmed in the Eckley area for 10 years. Sam owned and operated the Yuma Recreation Hall. He was employed by the State of Colorado Port of Entry in 1959 and retired in July 1980 as the supervisor of the Platteville Port, after 21 years. He had lived in Greeley since 1962.
Same was a member of the Eckley Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Eckley Town Counctil, was very active in baseball for many years and was an umpire for Little league games; and was president of the Colorado Association of Public Employees, Chapter 8.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Melvin Cain and Curtis Cain.
He is survived by his wife of Greeley; son of Cedar Crest, New Mexico; daughter of Greeley; sister of Fort Collins; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 1991 at Adamson Memorial Chapel in Greeley. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Chapel with arrangements by Adamson Mortuary, Greeley."

Melvin, born July 15, 1913, died Feb 8, 1980 in Multnomah County, Oregon, spouse Elsa.
May 23, 1985 "Word was received about a former Eckley resident, Elsa Cain who passed away Monday, May 20 at ther home in Beaverton, Oregon. She was the widow of Melvin Cain."
Ted M. Cain, born Nov 3, 1935 in Eckley, married Karen J. Pender, daughter of Harold J. May and Laura G. Sines, in Skamania County,
Washington on August 22, 1972.
Karen Judy Cain, born Feb 25, 1942, died in Lane County Oregon September 24, 1978, spouse Ted.

Nettie Cain married Claude Kohlman on March 15, 1910. They divorced in Mesa County, Colorado in 1925.

Nettie Kohlman married Robert E. Murrow in Denver on March 11, 1925.
One tree said they had Robert 1925-2009 in Denver, and Jimmie 1928-2008 in Eckley, and that Robert died about 1929.
In 1930 Eckley precinct, Nettie A. is a restaurant cook, with Jamie B. 19, no occupation, rayman M. 18 a farm laborer, Helen M. 18, Loren E. 14, Evert L. 12, and Bobbie D. 4.

1958 "Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Shively, Mr. and Mrs. Don Fresh and baby of Dillon, and Mrs. Alva Kohlman of Denver were down to attend the funeral of little Patty Farmer on Saturday, and all were overnight guests at the Claud Kohlman home."

Raymond registered in 1940 for WWII with a Vernon, Colorado address, a truck driver, born Dec 14, 1911, with wife madge Rosetta Kohlman.

Raymond Morrow Kohlman was born in Vernon, Colorado on December 14, 1910 to Claude and Nettie (Cain) Murrow Kohlman. He passed away on June 18, 2004 in Tucson, Arizona after a lingering illness at the age of 93. At the age of one year Raymond traveled with his parents to Oklahoma by wagon. The family then returned to Vernon a year later. Raymond grew up in the Vernon area and attended Mt. Hope schools thru the 9th grade.
Raymond married Madge Parker in October 1934 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado where they were working the beet fields. To this union three children were born, Dick, Wayne and Janet Kay.
Raymond spent most of his life in the Vernon area where he farmed, trucked,
ran a service station, and owned and operated a pool hall in Wray. He also shelled corn all
over several counties for several years. Later in life, Raymond and Madge moved to Dillon,
Colorado where he worked on the Eisenhower Tunnel and Dillon Dam. They owned a trailer
court in Brush, Colorado and later resided in Greeley, Colorado where he transported trailers
while Madge piloted for him. Raymond and Madge retired to Tucson, Arizona in 1974 and
have lived here since. Raymond was an avid sports fan and played baseball with the
Vernon town team while growing up. He also managed the Wray American Legion team
and later the Wray Town team. He also loved to play cards, playing contact bridge
three times a week up until three months prior to his death. Raymond was preceded
in death by his parents, Claude and Nettie (Cain) Morrow Kohlman. Surviving him
is his loving wife of 70 years, Madge Kohlman of Tucson, AZ; sons, Dick Kohlman of
Tucson, AZ; Wayne Kohlman of California; and daughter, Janet Kay Templeton and husband,
Floyd of Santa Rosa, CA. Grandchildren, Scott Kohlman and wife, Lisa of Sparks, Nevada;
Renee Carter and husband, Daryl of Coto De Caza, CA;
Ray Templeton and wife, Tiffany of Santa Rosa, CA; Charlea Ebright and husband,
Anthony of Santa Rosa, CA. Great-grandchildren, Jared and Ben Kohlman of Sparks, Nevada;
Nathan and Ava Carter of Coto De Caza, CA; Dylan, Zachary and Jake Templeton of
Santa Rosa, CA; Simone and Sophie Ebright of Santa Rosa, CA.
Also surviving is one sister, Helen Fresh of Denver, Colorado;
one brother, Vern Kohlman of Wray, CO; two half brothers, Bob Murrow of Port Arthur, TX;
ed Jim Murrow of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wray United Methodist Church in Wray, CO. Interment took place in the Glendale Cemetery in Vernon, CO."

In 1930 Helen is 17, a servant for the William Pyle family in Wray - this was the largest home in Wray, and Bill Pyle was one of the wealthiest men in the county.
Helen married Bruce R. Shively, and had Donna on March 6, 1937 in Wray.
Bruce 31, Helen 28, and Donna Lee, 3 are farming in Vernon precinct in 1940.
1951 "Bruce Shively of Dillon came Saturday for a few days visit and to get his family who had been visiting Mrs. Shively's father, Claude Kohlman."
Bruce is buried in Vernon 1909-1979, # 14872480.
December 1964 "Week end guests at the Claude Kohlman were Mr. and Mrs. Don Fresh and grandchildren of Frisco, and Mrs. Ann Cunningham and family of Denver."
Donald D. Fresh 1917-1990 is buried in Dillon # 29573556.
Helen M. Fresh, born April 4, 1912, died May 31, 2008, last residence Weld County, Colorado.
Donna Shively was Sullivan in 1953
(perhaps attending the Villa Cabrini Academy in Burbank, California), as Fresh in 1957,
as Harm in 1962, and as Comstock in 1964.
Donna died on June 4, 1998.
1959 - Mrs. Anna Cunningham and baby and Donna Fresh were granddaughters of Claude Kohlman, living at Dillon.
Everett is buried in Wray 1917-2006.

1963 Yuma, Pleasant Valley items "Mr. and Mrs. Jim Barker and Mr. and Mrs. Don Kohlman of Washington visited their brother, George Barker and family, last week, having been called here by the death of an aunt, Mary Weaver."
1980 "Don Kohlman of Oregon and Alva Kohlman of Denver were Saturday afternoon callers of Mrs. Cora Rock. They reported that their father, Glenn Kohlman, was still unconscious from the severe fall he had in his step-daughter's home in Denver."
ROZZA MARIE WILLIAMSON, 78, of Evans died March 11, 2002.
Mrs. Williamson was born Rozza Marie Thompson in Vernon on Feb. 15, 1924. She married Loren Kohlman, 1940, and Pat Williamson, 1954. She and her husband bought the Wray Livestock Commission Co., which they ran for several years. They then bought Farmers Cafe. Survivors include son David of Fort Collins; daughters Lorna Winden of Berthoud, Delores Welp of Evans

One descendant wrote "My grandmothers name was Alma Duckworth. Her brother's name was Bowd Duckworth. Her other brother was Ollie Duckworth who was killed in WWI.She married Glen Kohlman.I am not quite sure if they lived in MO or not.I think they did.I am sure they also lived in Wray, CO.They had four children:Alva Kohlman, Don Kohlman, Veta Kohlman, and Warren Kohlman"
