In 1900 Mercer County, Missouri, John Bagley is farming, born Oct 1861 in Missouri, married 14 years to Susan Dec 1865 Indiana. Arthur Nov 188, Everett Aug 1890, Annie Sept 1893, adn Eva June 1899 were all born in Missouri.
In 1910 Mercer County, John is 49, Susan 44, Arthur 22, Everett 19, and Amy 16. Arthur is teaching school.

1911 "Mrs. A. W. Bagley of west of Vernon was shopping and transacting business in Wray last Friday."|
"The ten months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Bagely [Bagley], Genice, died yesterday morning
after an illness of a week or ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Bagely reside ten miles southwest of Vernon
and the funeral services were held at their home this morning and burial was made at Glendale Cemetery,
Elder A. E. Tabor of Wray had charge of the services."

Arthur proved up 280 acres in 24, 2S 46W in 1922, and also claimed 160 acres for Stock.
October 1911 Salem, Iowa "Ivan Beach and sister, Alice Bagley, Jim Morey and
sister, Jessie Moffett, spent Friday evening at Mrs. Stover's"
January 4, 1917 " Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bagley are the proud parents of a ten pound son which arrived Wednesday morning.
All doing well, so we are told."
In 1920 Happyville precinct, Arthur is 34, Alice 33, Thane, 2.
March 23, 1922 "Arthur W. Bagley of the southwest Vernon neighborhood has been granted a life state teacher's certificate by the
state of Missouri. Mr. Bagley recently returned from Kirksville, Mo., where he had been attending the state normal.
If his present plans work out, he will take up the teaching profession in this state. Mr. Bagley was in Wray last Saturday taking out final
proof papers on a piece of land located southwest of Vernon. He was a pleasant caller at the Rattler office."
Arthur had originally filed in 1916. His witnesses: F. S. Beach, Frank R. Johnson, Earnest Beach, all of Vernon, Colorado, Owen Critchfield of Eckley, Colorado.
In 1930 Yuma County Arthur is teaching school in Vernon with Alice, Walter 13, Gale 10, Maxine 6, Darrel 3,a nd Bettie J. nine months.
In 1940 Happyville precinct, Arthur is teaching, 53,
Alice 52, with Walter 23 no occupation. Gail, 20,
is a laborer on a cattle ranch. Annette is 17, Darrell 14,
and Betty 10.
Arthur registered for WWII with an Eckley address, born Nov 10, 1886 in Mercer County, Missouri.
He's buried in Vernon # 80208375, 1886-1955,
with Alice Catherine (Beach) Bagley 1887-1993 # 162131667.

Walter Thanie Bagley 1917-2016 died in Lincoln,
with his ashes scattered in a wildlife habitat in Lancaster County,
# 158959815.
His wife Virgina Ann (Hageman) Bagley's ashes are also scattered there # 39334159 1921-2007.
GAIL
Gail Arthur Bagley married Florence Elizabeth Sutter in Palm Beach County, Florida in 1945.
"An event of interest to the community occurred Sept 5 at Morrison Field, Florida, when Miss Betty Sutter, daughter of Mr. an Mrs. Earl Sutter, and Corporal Gail Bagley, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Bagley, were united in marriage in the camp chapel, attended by Gail's sergeant and wife. Both of these young people grew up in this vicinity attending and graduating from the local school, and the best wishes and congratulations of the entire community is extended to them."
1954 "Mr and Mrs. Gail Bagley and family of Pleasanton, Iowa are visiting with several relatives, including the Earl Sutters, Ray Gelvins, Darrell Bagley and others.

Gail's wife Florence "Betty" (Sutter) Bagley is buried
in Eckley, 1921-2016 # 170843926.
"Graduated from Eckley High School in 1939 and studied at Colorado State College of Education for two years and taught school in Yuma County during World War II. She completed her studies and received her degree from Colorado State College in 1960. She returned to teaching in Missouri and Colorado, eventually closing out her working years as a librarian at UNC's Michener Library. She held a lifetime teaching certificate.
She married Gail A. Bagley Sept. 5, 1945, after he returned from the war. They lived in Colorado, Missouri, and Iowa and raised four children.
Survivors include her husband, three sons, two daughters-in-law, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine Bagley Parker in 1992 in Laguna Beach, Calif.--Info. taken from obituary in The North Weld Herald-Voice, June 16, 2016, Pg. 3"
BETTY
"Carl R. Hawkins, 79, of 17421 42nd St., Ottumwa, Iowa, died at 10:15 p.m. Feb. 6, 2007 at Hospice House.
He was born Feb. 1, 1928 in Davis County to William and Bessie Thompson Hawkins.He married Betty Jo Bagley Feb. 24, 1950 in Bloomfield.
A graduate of Bloomfield High School in 1947, he had served in the U.S. Army. He had worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, retiring as brakeman and conductor. He and his wife raised Appaloosa and Quarter horses; one of their Appaloosa horses was a two time World Champion. He always had a smile for everyone.
Surviving is his wife, Betty; a son, Randy (Lynn) Hawkins of Davenport; a daughter, Sandra Lee (Robert) Colyer of Winfield, Mo.; a granddaughter, Madeline Colyer; three sisters, Amy Davis of Ottumwa, Lucile John of Lenox and Gladys Karr of Albia."

DARREL
February 16, 1961 
176160817 "Darrel Dean Bagley of Bonanza, Ore., passed away on Jan. 29, 2017. Darrel was born in 1926 in the Eastern Colorado sand hills of Yuma County. He was the fourth of five children (Thayne, Maxine, Gail and Betty Jo) born to Arthur and Alice Bagley.
His parents homesteaded and also taught school. Darrel learned hard work early, growing up during the Great Depression on the family farm. He quickly established his passion for horses, cattle and ranching.
Darrel married Ruth Rice from his high school in 1945 while serving in the Army at Fort Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas. He returned to run the family farm in Colorado and Larry was born in 1946 and Diann in 1949 in Wray, Colo.
Darrel always liked hunting the West Slopes of Colorado and in 1958 purchased his first ranch near Eagle. He moved there and during the 1950s and 1960s he expanded operations, acquiring adjoining ranches. In his life, Darrel overcame many obstacles. In 1962, he lost his hands in a dynamite accident on the ranch. He adapted to using hooks and it did not slow him down for the rest of his life.
In Eagle, he was involved with many community activities, including Lions Club, fair board and rodeos. He was instrumental in building the fairgrounds for Eagle County that are still used today. In 1969, Darrel headed West, purchasing ranches in the Lemhi Valley, Idaho, bringing both Larry's and Diann's families. The family started to grow and he took on his most important job being Granddad.
He was active with all of his grandchildren, working the ranch and taking them to rodeos and other events. Many of the kids from the valley rode Bagley horses. His quarter horse bloodlines still continue today.
In 1974, Darrel married Traudy Zoppoth in Salmon Idaho. Traudy and Darrel spent many years working the ranches and traveling together in the motorhome. Darrel always wanted a ranch in the sand hills of Nebraska.
In 1989, he moved to Oshkosh, Neb., purchasing a ranch on the North Platte River. Grandad liked the climate, good grass and not having to irrigate. The ranch was his favorite operation. Darrel always had a good business mind, was not afraid to take a chance and stood behind his deals. In 1997, he sold the Nebraska ranch and moved to Bonanza, where he expanded his operation over the last 20 years and his family is very proud of the ranch and his accomplishments. Family was the most important thing to Granddad and he was very proud of everyone's accomplishments.
He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Traudy; his kids, Larry and Diann; six grandkids; and a herd of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves a legacy of fast horses and quality cattle along with many life lessons he has taught his family and friends."
