Martin Glaze and Emely Morgan married in Carroll County, Missouri
on Sept 25, 1843, by Rev. Abbot Hanaven.
Ann was born September 15, 1848.
Emely probably died about 1849, because Ann E. Glaze is with Harmon S. Booth 25 and Martha A. 22 in Carroll COunty Missouri in 1850. Mary E. i Booth is 3.
Martin could be the "Henry" Glaze, 35, farming in Carroll County in 1850 with John Glaze 73.
In 1860 Nodaway County, Missouri, Henry Glaze is painting, 41, living alone.
He's on the same census page as Mary Bagby, 18,
and her husband Benjamin Bagby 18 (Glaze's daughter Susan had married Benjamin Bagby's brother William).
Round Valley Indian Reservation "Martin Glaze: settled by him in 1866 ;
consists of 5 acres, Improvements: 1 dwelling-house, built in 1866,
valued at $150, 1 mile fencing, valued at $250"

One tree said that Martin died May 21, 1885 in Carroll County, Missouri.
Another said he died August 10, 1892 in Ventura County, California.

Susan Bagby, wife of Robert, born March 5,
1844 in Carrolton, Missouri to Martin Glaze, died in Skidmore, Missouri on January 14, 1938.

Frances 6, Mary 4, and JOHN 2.
Emory Smith and Lucy Swarta had a son on November 22, 1853 in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky.
In 1856 they're in Dubuque County, Iowa, Emory 32 born in New York,
Lucy A. 30 in Pennsylvania, Mary A. 10 in New York, John 7 in Indiana,
and Sarah E. 2 in Kentucky.
(Sarah, 40, married Benjamin Watson in Red Cloud, Nebraska on February 19, 1895.)
In 1870 Nodaway County, Missouri, Emory is farming, 53, with Lucy Ann 45. Emma 13 and Delphine 11 were born in Iowa, Fremont 9 in COlorado.

Emory 64 born in New York, and L. A. 60 born in Pennsylvania are in Smith COunty, Kansas in 1885, both coming to Kansas from Colorado.
In 1889 Dallas Texas, an Emory Smith is a live stock dealer, living on McKinney Avenue between Sneed and Bowen.
JOHN AND ANN
John Smith and Miss Ann E. Glaze married in Nodaway County, Missouri on January 9, 1870.
They're farming in Nodaway County in 1870,
John saying he was 21, born in Kentucky, Ann Elisa 20 in Missouri.
John and Anna came to Wray in 1887 by covered wagon, with Mollie 6, Martin 12, and Clark D. 3, . Cora E. was born in 1886 and William J. in 1893.
May 1899 "J. J. Smith and son, Clark, are breaking sod on their homestead this week."
June 2, 1899 "A. D. Hoy was arrested Monday morning on a warrant sworn out by John J. Smith,
charging him with Illegally branding two horses. Hoy waived examination and the trial was set for June 2."
In 1900 Yuma County, John is farming, born May 1849 in
Indiana, married 29 years to Ann E. Sept 1842 in Missouri. She's had six kids, five living.
Martin E. Jan 1873, Clark D. Apr 1881, and Cora A. July 1884 were born in Missouri, John W. April 1894 in COlorado.
In 1910 Wray, John and Ann are farming, both 61, with Martin E. 38 and John W. 15.
John cash-claimed 80 acres in section 9, 2S 45W in 1911.
January 1911 "For Sale - Fine farm and ranch, well improved, 400 acres, seven and one-half miles west of Wray.
A good proposition for any one desiring a money-making place. 160 acres broke, the farm land is second bottom
and has ten acres of alfalfa. Terms to suit purchaser, on one-half the purchase price. Price $5, 000.

July 1911 "Mrs. John J. Smith, south of Robb, is enjoying a visit from her sister, Mrs. Susie Bagby,
who arrived from Missouri the first of the week."
July 1912 "Mrs. Mary Bates, of Gravit, Arkansas, arrived last week for a visit with her brother,
J. J. Smith of seven miles southwest. It has been forty-two years since these two met."
In 1870 Nodaway County, Mary Ann Bates is 24, married to Trent D. Bates 3, with George 3 and Dora four months.
They're in Benton County, Arkansas in 1880.
In 1920 Mary A. Bates, widowed, 75 is living in Gravette, Benton County, Arkansas.
June 1916 "John J. Smith returned Monday from a four weeks trip visiting friends and relatives
in different points in Nebraska, Kansas and Arizona."
December 1916 "J. J. Smith became the owner of the Crenshaw property in West Wray this week
which is now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Walker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Smith intend to move in
from the farm nine miles west of Wray which they recently sold to the Cramer Brothers,
and will make tholr homo in Wray."
The public sale of John J. Smith will take place at his farm six and one-half miles west,
and two miles south, of Wray, on Thursday, February 8, 1917. Twelve head of horses and mules,
and a complete lay-out of first-quality farming implements will be sold.
Shortly after the sale he will move to his new home in Wray.

July 1917 "John J. Smith returned Tuesday from his visit with his sister in Kansas.
He says had he known the hail salivated his garden he would have remained away."
In 1920 Wray, John J. 71 and Ann 70, Martin 42 adn William J. 25 have no occupations.
John is buried in Wray 1849-1921 # 59067852.
"John J. Smith was the son of Emory Smith and Lucy Ann Swartz. "
August 1922 "Mrs. Susan Bagby of Skidmore, Mo., and Mrs. Jack Frost of Maryville, Mo.,
sister and niece of Mrs. J. J. Smith, came to Wray last Saturday for a visit with
Mrs. Smith and other relatives and friends."
Susan Bagby, wife of Robert, born March 5,
1844 in Carrolton, Missouri to Martin Glaze, died in Skidmore, Missouri on January 14, 1938.

MOLLIE
William A. Lippencott timber-claimed a quarter in section 32, 1N 46W in 1895.
Mollie is in Lincoln County, Washington in 1900, born Oct 1873 in Missouri, married seven years to William Lippencott born May 1862 in Illinois. Goldie May 1894, Georgie April 1897, and Luana Jan 1898 were born in Colorado.
MARTIN
Martin E. Smith 1871-1954 is buried in Wray # 59067907.
CORA
October 26, 1906 "Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Shields returned from Denver the first of the week. They
were quietly married at that place last week, and after spending several days sightseeing, returned home.
Mr. Shields is the obliging host at the Shields Hotel, and a young man of sterling worth. The bride
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Smith, west of town, and has been one of the
leading teachers of the county for the past two years. To them, the congratulations of the communlty
is extended."
September 1908 "Mr. and Mrs. John J. Smith accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. O. N. Shields,
left Wednesday for a visit with relatives and friends at Skidmore, Missouri."
1910 "Mrs. Cora Shields left yesterday to
visit her sister Mrs. Wm. Lippincott at Masfield, Wash. She will be gone several months."
1911 "Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Smith of nine miles west of town were visiting with their children,
Miss Cora and Clark Smith, last Saturday."
October 1911 "Clark Smith of the Wray hotel closed the deal Thursday, October 19,
whereby he leased his hotel to his sister, Miss Cora Smith. Mr. Smith has made no future business plans
as yet."
December 1912 "Miss Cora Smith, formerly of this place but now of
Denver, is here and will spend the holidays with her brother, Clark,
proprietor of the Wray Hotel."
Cora Smith married G.G. Patrick in 1913 in Denver and went on to the coast where they ha since lived. He was an employee at the Hotel Stockton.
May 1916 "Cora Patrick sold most of her household goods on the
street Saturday and left Sunday for Akron. Mrs. Patrick went to Akron
last week and purchased a restaurant there, and went Sunday to
take charge of the same. The hotel of which she had charge is at
present vacant."
Cora Ann (Smith) Rice is buried in Wray 1884-1961 # 68945985.
WILLIAM JOHN
1922
William married Winnie Burns in 1924, and they ran the variety store and then a dry-cleaning shop. William died in 1960.
CLARK
March 1906
Clark D. Smith proved up 320 acres in section 4 and 9, 2S 45W in 1911, and cash-claimed another 80 in 1911.
Clark married Emma Donovan in Jefferson County on January 31, 1906. Emma died in 1910, leaving him with Raymond 4 and Alma 2.
On November 8, 1911 he married Belle Walkup, whose husband Robert was killed in a silo cave-in near Fort Morgan. Belle was born in Peoria,
Illinois to George Weaver.
November 1912 "The grippe has been holding several in its clutches this week.
Mrs. Phay, Mrs, Darr,
Mrs. Clark Smith and Bertha Heindel were among those who have been wrestling with it."
1913 "Mrs. Homer Carlyle is again in her position
as clerk in the Clark Smith store after a months vacation,
Miss Katherine Weaver having filled her position during her absence."
Clark is farming in 1920 Yuma County, 38, Belle M. 41, Raymond C. 13, Alma E. 11, and Virginia M. Walkup 14.
He's buried in Wray 1881-1967 # 81703533. So is Emma A. (Donovan) Smith 1888-1910.
Belle Smith 1877-1967 is also buried in Wray # 81703464.
